Due to the art style forced by 2K games even Croteam hides this game never mentioning it in any collections or events and the very bad characters though the gameplay was super awesome
I highly doubt 2K influenced the development in any way, they became its publisher when the game was almost done. Croteam took this direction themselves, they really wanted to make visually different kind of game to surprise and please the fanbase. Majority of people hated the cartoonish style and bizzare characters in the end but I think the visuals make this game unique and interesting.

Its sad how narrow minded gamers can be. "Oh it has a cartoony graphic, it must be shit" Its one of the best FPS I have played in years, with a good amount of healthy and unhealthy humor.
It's kinda bizarre that people hated Wind Wakers' art style at first then got over it unlike SS2. Like, Serious Sam 2 is a Really fun when it comes to gameplay and that's what's most important when it comes to what makes a good game.
@@tickleson8661 it has its flaws…but I also think tfe and tse have flaws. They also updated 2 recently and added dual wielding, weapon changes like fixing the broken screens on the rpg and the grenade launcher, sprinting was added as well. Those changes really made the game much more enjoyable. Besides some annoying parts with the combat in specific sections of the game on harder difficulties and the awful, awful cheesy characters, and so many levels, it’s still a fun game to play.
The funny thing is that the game was ahead of its time. Now there are not enough games like this, we need a remaster or a sequel to this legend. I hope the Croteam will listen.
Yeah definitely agree with this. This way it would be a lot more unique. Sometimes I have problem distinguish from pictures if it's SS4 or just another kinda generic action game.
0:56 Starting right here if you look to your left and right you'll see two Ugh-Zans walking on either side. They were supposed to be in the game and you can even still hear them roaring after you eliminate all the foes right here. They were cut out for some reason.
Please. Just announce an remaster already. Or just port to consoles. I'll take anything. It's a great game and I would love to get another SS game that plays and looks exactly like this.
Are you people kidding me? I loved the art design in SS2. It was a great change of pace and a breath of fresh air. The humor was the only thing that sucked.
It was good on the gameplay side of things, but art-wise, they changed too much imo. Nice to see something different, but it still wasn't fit to my personal taste :-/
@anotherwrld The other way around. The art is fine, the cartoon style give the game some personality. But the gameplay is what was lacking, the levels were small and enclosed, the weapons felt weak, shotguns were overpowered, boss battles sucked ass and the entire game was too easy.
