There isn't any architecture out there in the real place (I visited in 1990), but not even Croteam got it 100% right. The temple itself is recognizable and the cliffs behind it are a pretty good representation of the real thing, at least in the HD remake. The desert/dune area in front it isn't closed off by rocky terrain, it opens up into wide plains as far as the eye can see.
Fun, self contained experience, like a slaughter map in doom, not *really* requiring expert skills but still. Just dont spawn your kamikazes in a big clump thats so easy to detonate with two shots
