Awesome detailed review! Looks like a super capable pickup for the class. I’m sure these will be big sellers. I wish they at least offered a engine option..diesel, NA, or even the 2.7 ecoboost (that’d be fun! 😁). Overall though...good Enough MPG, smooth Powertrain, good towing capabilities, available tech, off road controls, not bad interior space....seems like a great offering and I can see this taking a big bite of mid size truck sales..

Nice Review! Love how it looks with that FX4 trim and Sport Appearance pack. Exterior, Tech, Capability and Performance is good, interior is fine for the class I'd say (Unless you go for the expensive Lariat which seems to be very good). Looks like Ford is back in the game big time!

Looks really sharp in Black! I’d still get a 150 for about the same money, but I can see why folks that live in big cities want a smaller truck, the F150 can be a chore to park in some situations.

This was by far the most informative review on this vehicle. Others I've seen seem to be by people whom probably never owned a truck or don't understand why someone would want one. Entertaining review even though I am not looking for a truck. Great job Forrest!

I would like a mid-size truck. I like the Ranger a lot. That trim is nice, but a little steep for me. I'd have to investigate lower trims. Overall very nice truck and great, in-depth review!

Wow it’s really starting to grow on me.. when I first saw it back when they unveiled it I was extremely underwhelmed but I’m starting to get pumped about this ranger. It looks SO good in black in this video, too!

This black colored Ranger looks so refreshing after watching lots of videos featuring the Saber colored Rangers. Don't get me wrong, both colors look amazing as well as blue.

I got to drive one of these back in November and let me tell ya they do not disappoint. great power very nimble driving pickup, and a very well done interior as well as a ton of cooling technology

Another great review! And much anticipated by many. It's a beautiful truck, but I'm a little sad that it's lost the "little truck that could" feel of the old Rangers. I also kinda hope they come out with more engine choices in the future.

The crew cab, 4x4 setup looks really good. I saw a regular extended cab on the road, and didn't like it, but this one looks really nice.

Great video I own since new a 2002 F150 XLT 5.4 Triton 2 valve 4x4 with 4 speed auto 135,000 miles with 3.55 tow package and happy that I get 13 mpg.

Great review, coverered all I needed to know basically. This is the nicest trim I've seen of all recent reviews. $45,000 for a Ranger is something new for me but I cant forget this is a whole new different Ranger with a lot of safety features (Sensors all over the place) and this is the Lariat Off Road with Tow Pkg. Still, can't stop thinking that for 45k I could buy me a Tundra Limited and for 50k a TRD Pro...

Anybody can get x plan on Fords. Look around on the internet how to do it. Reputable dealers will gladly sell you one making a fully loaded Ranger around 40k if thats what you want. Very nice review here. When all that journalists can do is nit pick a brand new vehicle, not here but other journalist RU-vid sites, then you have a winner Ford! Ford knows how to build trucks.

I like it ford needs to bring back the tuxedo black, I have a 13 150 but I had many rangers if I was in the market I would look at this trim level.

Good review. I really like this guy and I can tell he has a high I.Q. This is probably the best video I have seen so far. For the truck, I do not care at all for the limited engine offer. No 6 cyl. no diesel, not even the 2.7 eco boost. Just the 2.3 eco boost. We have that engine in our escape vehicles at work and they are crap. When you stomp on the gas pedal the thing winds up like a giant exhaust fan at a factory or something. It doesn't really get going anywhere very quick either. Then when you let off the gas you can hear the turbo slowing back down. I hate it. Some of the ones we have they make you push a button to turn off the fuel economy every single time you get in the vehicle. In other words the engine stops at every red light and then automatically restarts when you let off the brake. That feature drives me insane. If Ford offers a diesel engine or even a real truck engine I might consider it. So I will wait a couple of years and see what happens. Anyway good job on the video.

1:08 is my dream spec Ranger. Lariat fx4 Black exterior with the grey sport pack and the light tan interior. Too bad it'll take 6-8 months to get a custom ordered one these days, and by that time the new 2024 Ranger may already be out.

Lookin at the front Grill/Head lights & fog light placement/shape its almost the same as the tacoma for 16-18.

this truck was out since 2015 in my country with a 6 speed auto and a 3.2l 5 cylinder diesel engine with about 200hp and 350lb ft torque

This color and wheel combo looks great on the new Ranger. My only design gripe I have is that the taillights to not match the body, they seem like big F-150 taillights on a mid-size truck. But overall it is nice.

I like mine definitely but Ford can do little changes to make it even better for a buyer. I got the STX FX4 which is great but could make the wire harnesses available for changes which would cost more but the buyer could probably only afford it as that way. Also the USB pocket in front would be a great spot for a wireless charger pad. Another great sell point.

Does it come with permanent 4x4 as well? I mean not this manually selectable 4x4 which is not suitable for use on hard surfaces with good grip but a real permanent 4x4 for everyday use?

I really wish some one would show the extended cab with back seats and maybe delete. As I’m thinking of going that route and just use the back for storage.

I must say, I really like this truck. To me it looks good inside and out. I'd like to scale down from my Ram 1500 and I like the Tacoma exterior but hate the interior ergonomics, the Chevy Colorado is okay but the interior is absolutely horrible and I like the Honda Ridgeline interior but the exterior is not very appealing. I have never owned a Ford and have typically ignored them when vehicle shopping but this new Ranger ticks almost all the boxes for me. Great looks, fuel efficient, modern transmission, nice interior, capability, etc. I would like to see an auto 4x4 mode and 6 foot box with the crew cab but I could go without those if the truck is as nice as the reviews suggest.

Did you feel the vehicle was vulnerable to flip-overs? 2) Ford Raptor Comparison. What are your favourable and non-favourable opinions about the new Ranger compared to the Raptor? Which would you rather buy (fully loaded Ranger vs. base or middle Raptor)? Thanks!

Nicer inside then my 2016 Colorado. Why they didn’t add a slow drop tail gate is mind blowing. Also they really should have put a moonroof in the higher tier models as well as eight way power seats with memory. For those of us who want a more upscale truck. Make sense on the lower tier models to just have a basic pick up truck.

Could you imagine a 300 straight 6 with the turbo in this vehicle would be awesome.

It’s definitely the right size and the seating position is appropriate. Displacing Tacos from their lead dog position though will be an impossible task.

How come the host was driving a different Ranger through the course instead of the lariat. Did anybody notice the truck on the off road course had a different stereo and the RPM gauge was not digital.
