+Jonas Butler a huge hug along with a picture that i can keep forever. But I would also sell like everything i own just to get an autograph as well haha.
Serj is so gentle and soft spoken. Crazy to think of the intensity he has when approaching his own music. I will never stop loving System of a Down, they were a defining band in my life as Spiders came out when I was in high school. It's also no surprise he's a fan of Mike Patton...... OMG a collab!! please??
Because how many metal artist do u know personally, for 1, and why the fuck would u comment without facts other then to wish somebody cares about what u have to say, so I'm giving you the attention that you want
Eu Sou O Gatinho Miau He knows that it’s an imperfect system, and criticizes it. If you think he’s wrong in doing so, then I advise that you reconsider your views on capitalism
@@grindgrindgrind666 The most profitable system ever created. Every system is flawed and greed is not as bad as poverty and starvation. Every country that has a free market ends up being wealthy.
I think it's awesome that metal guys like classical too. I listen to everything from Meshuggah to Vivaldi, glad I'm not alone in my musical influences. There's just too much good music out there, to stick to one genre.
Serj said in an interview with *Kerrang* that they are releasing a new album in 2017. "It's been nearly 12 years at this point since System Of A Down has done a new album, but the wait for new material has finally come to an end!"; says Greg Kennelty on Metal injection
I really love how open Serj is when it comes to gushing about things in general, you can see that's he's so passionate about the stuff he loves. The fact that he'll gush about all those vastly different artists and genres, especially philharmonic orchestras, always brings a smile to my face. And he always looks overjoyed when he gets to open up about that stuff too, his smile is precious.
The Italian verb "zappare" is not so different from the English "To dig" (well... It's really different, but both verbs have something to do with moving soil)
He has an amazing sense of calmness and inteligence about him that I admire. The same goes for Maynard from Tool. It would be the most amazing experience to meet either.
His taste in music really shows how much more than a simple metal vocalist he is. True genius. I'm on his side of the debate of tge whole new album thing. As a poet myself I understand the importance of timing and needing true inspiration to make great work. Serj is my hero and I respect him with or without a new system album
What's so unique about him is that despite his talent and success he's so friendly, polite and down to earth. Serj is such a sweetheart! And I love his nose by the way.
Perhaps the stoner goatee is what did it at the time, along with the general attire. Well, nowadays, unfortunately, he looks old much more unambiguously than in the video, grey beard and all; but back then, he was on the cusp, I guess.
Man... I see Serj and I almost come to tears, this dude has influenced so many lives, all of System led a fuckin generation man... long live music; Future, Past and Present.
This is how you know he actually has a brain and a heart... he likes classical music. Throughout my life, I have been bullied for liking classical and opera music. I am thankful he shows that he can appreciate classical music. I was not expecting that from him but it makes me respect him more. System of a Down and Serj Tankian are my only metal bands I listen to... and now I can see why.
+Elven Loki really? i guess i makes sense when u see their work when they went their own ways for a while and made their own music. scars on broadway was much different than what serj was making
+T R I G G E R E D Yeah. Serj wrote some of it, but Daron did most of the work for the song writing. He said it in an interview that it was his way to write down his screwed up thoughts or something like that. That song, I don't remember the name, "I killed your rock n roll" was written by Daron because he ran over a bunny killing it. He named that bunny Rock n' Roll.
I was so surprised for some reason that Serj loves Ministry. I also love Ministry. I love that his taste in music is so varied, and everything he picked was great.
Possibly the most genius vocalist in all of metal, a once in a lifetime frontman. It's hard for me to watch him talk casually, I've been listening to his music since I was 7, almost 23 years ago.
This is why I still buy CDs. You still get that sense of discovery and ownership when you buy a CD from the store. Something I've never really felt with buying digital content. Even when I buy digital files off Bandcamp, I still burn them to CD.
Yeah, not many people realize the newfound importance of cds, especially in an era in which major companies and governments can scrub things clean off the internet, it's good to have physical media to preserve such things without Internet
I've been listening to system for years but I've never seen any sort of interview with serj, who knew that he would be such a sophisticated guy considering the music he creates.
I have every Ministry album...got to see them live too, I highly recommend it. Al came out with human bones hanging from his mic stand at dusk. The crowd was moshing around giant bonfires....I was on LSD....it was life altering.
This is absolutely why I respect band members such as himself and Prince, Perry, Patton Kiedis and Cantrell. You can hear the eclectic influences in their music and lyrics. The aforementioned are, or were definitely no one trick ponies!
I used to work at a bakery and met serj, such a humble guy and even remembered my name the second time he came around😅 he takes the time to talk with you and such a nice guy!
anything Mike Patton is pure genious. I can see why they'd be friends. I Seen Mr. Bungle open up for SOAD in '99. Pure magic, one of my favorite concerts.
I'm glad I've watched this. Every piece of music Serj selected made completely sense... it's a big puzzle, and SOAD is the final result. Serj, you're a genius.
I am now 23 years old, and I just cant remember when I first started to listen to serj in system of a down, I dont now how and when, but one day I ask life to give me enough years to meet Mr.Serj , I would really just love to give and be hugged by him instead of an autograph :3
Susana Alicia Torres Gracia I’m almost 21 and I hope the same. So many artists I love deeply have since passed away, and I never got the chance to meet them or see them perform. To see Serj perform live would be an amazing experience!
I really love Serj's voice. I mean... it's different yet it's so beautiful and hypnotic. I have had people tell me "What the hell is this? Turn it off, it sounds like Elmo..." but that's not what I see in Serj at all. I just think his voice was what got me. Then, I watched a couple of youtube videos of his performances and I ended up buying a lot of his CDs. I am very impressed with him. I was also impressed with his symphony.
