I agree on the reason why it was so divisive! I read it at the beginning of 2022 and just... didn't understand where all this hate was coming from. Like it's fine, very, very alright. ✨️
the magic was what i enjoyed the most about this book, but there were just some parts about it that were so unbelievably laughably bad to me that i couldn't take it seriously 🤣 like the inciting incident that caused them having to get married with each other. this was one of the books that helped me realize that i actually do not like fake dating as a trope because more often than not, the reason they need to fake date is always SO flimsy
I still have this one on my TBR! Glad to hear you enjoyed it though 🥰 I've heard a lot of mixed things about the second book, so I'm a bit hesitant to pick it up!
OK my question PLEASE ANSWER Can I read the first book only? I mean without the other 2 books? Like does end on a Cliffhanger? Or I can ignore the other 2 books and get mild satisfactory ending
Oh wait for the second book, the first book was fine there was some huh okay in it but fine. The second book had so many possibilities and wasted them, I DNFd the serries which I rarely if ever do. however if you read and like the third i might try it lol
I DNF’d it. I wanted to like it. But Reed and the witch lady just weren’t likable characters to me. The witch lady was manipulative and Reed came off as stupid. It sounds harsh but I felt like I was losing brain cells reading the book. And I didn’t expect greatness going in either. It was just overall not good.
