I wanted to spend some time highlighting the remnants of Morgoth's defeat in one video. Seeing the rise of both Adar and Sauron. These two were, without a doubt, my favorite character in The Rings of Power, and I'm excited to see how their confrontation will be in season two. It's most certainly going to be brutal. With this edit, I tried to avoid using footage from Lord of The Rings since it takes place long after these events, so I didn't feel it was fitting for the story in this video in terms of continuity.

literal chills at the last minute and a half of this. the whole thing is amazing but the building and tragedy of the elves realizing their “ally” is their mortal enemy is incredible. embodies sauron’s character perfectly. his namesake, literally, “the deceiver”

Adar has a quite ominous presence that only a few villains have and he must be quite powerful as well because he literally killed Sauron, it doesn't matter how he did it, the fact is, he did it and he took over his entire kingdom. I hope we get to see Morgoth in the next season in some flashback scene.

We'll have to see in S2 how they push Adar's story. It will be quite interesting. If he's a villain, well, they seem to try to make him more human than an evil twisted god-like Sauron is. But even so, both of them come from an oppressed position (Due to Morgoth), though with a different perspective, so the motivates are different. It's hard to say, but he's certainly not a "good guy".

@@devanman7920 The most strong weapon of Sauron is his treachery and seduction manipulating his foes, like this he tempted and corrupted the nine nazgûl. I mean, if we believe he es gray and maybe a good boy misunderstood, just that how his art works, we're blinded, thats how he created a religion about him in Harad and Rhûn, in these lands he is a scorching a beatiful god.

Before this series came out I was influenced by all the bad expectations of people and I started to exaggerate myself. But after watching the series I was genuinely sad that it was over and thought it was really stupid that we have to wait another 2 years for season 2. The series did indeed have its flaws and some scenes might not have been acted too well, or it script was bad. But overall it was an epic experience. If you add that it also looks breathtaking, I think it might be better than the first and last Hobbit movies, and just maybe the second. And I'm satisfied that it will never be better than the original trilogy, because that wouldn't be fun anyway. Overall a fantastic series and great edit!

Thank you, and thanks for sharing your take. I personally enjoyed this show quite a lot. It doesn't triumph the original trilogy, of course. I get that It's controversial, and It's not for everyone, but that's just how it goes with all things.

@@iamburak He was only signed up for one season. The 1st season was originally meant to be longer...as in 10 episodes..and he was meant to die lol...hence only being needed for that. So, he signed up for other stuff. Covid sort of scuppered things though and the season was shortened so now they need Adar in second season too....which means they had to get a new guy in to play him.

Still doesn’t answer the question on how Orcs (Uruks) are bred, though. I used to think Sauron and Saruman just mutated and reanimated elf corpses after watching the Peter Jackson movies, but Goblin Slayer destroyed any clinging to that theory!

One of the things that sort of doesn't quite fit Sauron is he is going to die, the first time, because he fully, unconditionally just didn't realise how much Eru Illuvatar didn't want any man in the undying lands. The doom of numenor isn't Sauron's doing. The death of the west isn't. There obliteration of all his hopes and dreams obviously are not. He will never see the land without death, and he won't because misjudged the mind of God. It's kind of silly that he's portrayed so flawlessly manipulating people in person when he will die because he overplayed a bad had.

A very good and coherent video based as a foundation on a very poorly and lazily written show. Well done! I hope the next season(s) will clarify and answer all (or most) unanswered questions and plot holes from the first season. It is no easy task for the showrunners (and Amazon) to meet expectations, satisfy the fans, and redeem the show.

I think the earliest the show can be better in the writing department is season 3… sadly it seems Amazon was saving money on the writing department and only had a mini room for the show instead of a proper writers room. If the writing strike succeeds they might be forced into making a proper writers room.

I totally fell in love with this series. I watched it twice in a week 🙈 I don’t get all the hate it’s getting! I thought the villains were brilliant. If you don’t compare it to the books and try to pick apart the details that are different from it it’s absolutely amazing! I totally think that Sauron was evil and manipulating everyone into getting to the elves from the beginning, I don’t believe in his redemption phase at all and it is true to his cunning character in Tolkien’s universe. He even wore in plain sight that emblem from the kings of the South Lands at all times so Galadriel would believe he was the lost king and take him exactly where he ended up. It’s silly to think even for one second that the writers would try to ruin his character and make him good.

First of all, he’s a new character. They probably can’t use those characters due to scope of the rights. But even then, it’s just presented as a new and different character altogether. He’d be even older than that. He’s one of the elves that were corrupted by Morgoth to create the orcs, therefore he was one of the Avari, so not an Eldar (or high elf, who traveled to Aman), from before the first age of the sun.

@@TeslaKuhn8 “Adar” just means father in Sindarin, with its equivalent in Quenya as “atar”. They and the name for the world, Arda, come from different etymologies. They’re also a common phonetic combination for both Eldarin languages, so not much to dig on that hole I guess.

The Sauron servants (mage) they have some charisma and style but not well used Can be better Galadriel (not really well written but I've seen an improvement in the last episode so I hope she will be better next season)

Nowhere in my comment did I say this was not the show or the actors. please stay on point, or sooner or later, you might end up sounding like one of those idiots who wrote that shitty show. I said this edit was decent. the way story boards are presented and the way the editor uses these scenes from the movie to tell the story in a more focused fashion other than the crappy show. The story's portrayal in the actaul show was very "flat". Maybe it had too many noththings going... :)

It’s a good series as far as you see it as non-canon. It’s not Tolkien’s story, but a story inspired by Tolkien’s world and characters. Still, some things keep my eyebrows arching every once in a while. She’s definitely not Tolkien’s Galadriel and he’s not Tolkien’s Sauron in my view. But, as long as you take it for what it is, an alternate universe of the legendarium, it’s enjoyable.

The reason sauron was so obsessed with controlling the earth because all this Chaos was because his master morgoth or in plain words he saw the essence of morgoth in every aspect of the middle Earth and wanted to get rid of it. Ironic that this hatred towards his evil master drove him to doing even more evil.

i was so confused when i first watched the show and later the movies. In the show Sauron feel like the protagonist and Galadriel the antagonist. Later watching the movies the portrayal is completely different. I know the movies and the show was made by different people but to change so much makes the two worlds so different. When watching the movies i though the show whas a remake, but it is not. I haven't read the books så both the movies and the show might have changed the original story. I likes Sauron in the show and Galadriel in the movies. Also the the series was not entertaining at all, the guy who made the movies did much beter job and produced 18 hours of pure entertainment.
