Opening May 12, 2022, only at the National Law Enforcement Museum. “Service and Sacrifice” is a short documentary film, created for National Law Enforcement Museum visitors, that explores the soul and purpose of law enforcement officers and their families.
Featuring a diverse group of officers serving different roles from around the U.S., “Service and Sacrifice” demonstrates what drives someone to become a police officer, what motivates them in their work, the obstacles they face, and how their families and loved ones feel about and are affected by what they do and the risks they take.
Service and Sacrifice demonstrate the human side of police officers-that they have lives, feelings, families, fears, and dreams like everyone else, but that they are exceptional people who have chosen to put themselves at risk to make their communities safer and better places for all. Their sacrifice and dedication is a necessity for safe communities.
