Hey Wes! Your content is an absolute gold mine, thank you so much for sharing it with us. If anyone is doubting this man's techniques - then use this comment to put those doubts to sleep. My website went from page 4 to page 1 and 5th on the organic rankings within 2 weeks of following Wes's SEO tips and guides. Much love from South Africa brother
I'm so glad it helped you on your website Brandon. This kind of result and positive comments are what makes me keep ongoing. Much love brother. Be sure to stick around for more of these contents. 😊
Thank you for that clear message about most needed parts for service company. We do electric job in Russia, couldnt find this type of videos on our language. It feels so easy to understand, but i cant until hear it structurised from professional like you. Subscribed.
Hey Wes, this is a really excellent video. I'm busy creating my wordpress site just now. Your tips are gold dust. Thanks for the great and highly valuable content. Cheers 🙏
I think every service based business needs a service area page. You also need to a specific page for each city you service. On that specific city page you need to add unique things about that city you service. For example add the most popular services for each city you service. Add most recent jobs along with testimonials from clients in specific cities. If you want to be found local on google you need to add the areas you service or you may not show up.
Lovely Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I would love your opinion. Have you thought about - Giyackentie Stupendous Process (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a great one off product for cloning an entire proven internet business system today minus the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my old buddy Taylor at last got great results with it.
Thank you so much. I am a small one man band, so have to do a lot of the work myself and your videos are so helpful and always leave me with a to-do list.
Thank you, I am a 21 year old who owns a service based company and your videos have really helped me learn how to kickstart my business I’ll be referring you to others who need this help
Product page design is so big right now. It doesn't seem there is much information on the web on service design. Or is it just not that popular. Thank you so much for providing this information!! This was very helpful. I am restructuring all pages!! I'm now a subscriber!!!
Looking to restructure my website and need to do it in two languages here and the French part of Canada. this video has truly helped give me ideas on how to build it and I will be looking into your other tutorials to get further visual ideas. I do, however think you are incorrect about case studies when it comes to plumbers, Electrical and other seemingly uninteresting business categories. There is always a possibility of telling a story where you were able to save the customer money or time or come up with other types of outside the box thinking solutions. As a professional carpet cleaner, I will have a case study page for sure. Cheers and Bonjour from Montreal!
I can't believe you've only got 98k subscribers. You most definitely deserve many more. This is quality content. Direct. Easy to understand. Professional.
Thank you! I've been watching your videos and you've given me a whole new way of looking at my websites. I've spent years using my websites as brochures instead of setting up a system on my websites that are informative and a money/business system. Great information!
Perfect! I am in the process of redesigning my service business website and this was exactly the information I was looking for. Thanks so much for sharing this!
Amazing video Wes. Love your content. Can you please help me with something related here? What platform should I use to build my website if I have zero coding experience for a like service based business?
Hey Shantanu - I recommend using Wordpress Elementor (and upgrading to the Pro version) which is a drag and drop editor, no coding needed, and using Siteground for hosting.
hi Wes, great info as always! It would be great if you could do one video about Google ads for businesses trying to reach customers in --other countries--! Example: We are a Vietnam-based manufacturing company, wishing to reach potential customers in the U.S.! What's the best way to reach our target customers? Which audience to choose (purchase directors, decision-makers, etc.)! This surely would be interesting for many Asia-based companies!
I laughed when you showed the clip of the lumber price list because I am a Digital Marketer still learning and am trying to drive traffic to a customer's website and it is a Lumber Cutting business.
Another valuable video. Thanks Wes! Just a small question. On the homepage, should I talk about my newsletter and paid video courses in my intro video (top of the header)? Or should I only talk about my newsletter guide (optin) ?
I'm a real estate educator/trainer and I'm currently redirecting my service focus. Naturally, this requires me to redesign/rebuild my website. However, I've included several testimonials on my Home Page under presenting my primary USP. I did this believing it's better to keep this info on the site's main landing page rather than require a visitor to look for it in the menu and hope they click on it. Then, again, I may also sprinkle a few other testimonials on other pages rather than lumping them into one place where people may or may not visit. Your thoughts on these approaches would be appreciated.
I'm a little fuzzy as to what your navigation menu would look like with the suggestions you made AND how each preview would be expressed on your homepage. For example, how would your freebee be expressed on your homepage and in your navigation menu?
OMG I love your guidance so much ! And you make it so easy to understand 😍 I'm working on my website and your info is Invaluable. What do you actually charge ? Just so I know LOL 😂
I’m so glad I’ve found your video series, it’s different from the rest and feels more right. One question: What about a brand new business that has no paid customers yet? What to substitute for those, until that point in time?
Thanks for that! If you don't have testimonials as social proof, you can use anything that will build your credibility... briefly touch on your expertise, use relevant statistics that are already out there, and consider offering what you do to a few people for free or deep discount in exchange for testimonials to get the ball rolling. Cheers!
Good tips. I've always used ranges and "pricing ideas" on my pricing page, but I don't participate in race to the bottom pricing nor with giving non-customers solid pricing.
We are merging 2 companies in the IT Microsoft space and the new website is starting to look like everyone else in the IT Space just listing industry jargon services like Office 365 which most business owners and company DM don't understand - So I am thinking of going with more of the lead magnet approach because we need to do so much discorvery. I really liked your FAQ and converting that to a "Are we a good match" page. What are your thoughts on how to adjust when you are selling technology services?
I really enjoy your video trainings. A challenge I keep running into is that very few trainings seem to focus on things like one of a kind product sales vs service or content selling... Great information; Thanks for sharing with us.
Julie, the beauty of a lead ad is you don't need to take ppl off of facebook at all. It's great to get them to your site, but this method keeps it all on the app, which makes it cheaper usually, and less friction for your new subscriber. If you do it by bringing ppl to your site, you would not use a lead ad, but a standard ad with a conversions objective. Hope that helps!
Thank you for the video. Anyone aware of a good Wordpress plugin for consultations/appointments that can replace Calendy (preferably a plug-in with a one time cost)?
Hey, thanks! A quick question - I'm considering using the MAGNET page as the home... you mentioned it as a dedicated page within the website. So I'm a bit at odds now.
I recommend Wordpress and Elementor... check out this quick tutorial I made here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B9uq_CdVgW8.html ... You'll be on your way in minutes!
Sorry one more question: at 11:43 in your video, how does your content/gift automatically send to them once they fill in the form ? Is this something you can add on Wordpress and it does it all for you ?
Usually you have to connect it to an outside email service provider, such as convert kit and create an automation. To learn more about email automation, check out my video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uC8i-Ry8750.html
@@WesMcDowellInc I really like the first part where you talk about the home page, I have a friend that is all about click funnels and stuff, but he barely puts any effort to improve his homepages, I always tell him that clients would some times go and browse the entire website to know more about the business and if it's a trustable business. And when they go that almost-blank homepage they lose all interest and might just go to the next competitor. What I do in the contrary is to make the homepages look amazing before anything else, because as you said they are the center of the whole website for sure! Keep up the great content man and congrats on the huge growth you've had, it is well deserved, Wes!
I used have it set up for consultations and bookings but I got so busy now that I took them off because I don't have time to take on anymore projects. I'm thinking I may have taken them off prematurely.
I work with people with a disability, mental health and teenagers who are not interested in leaving reviews to protect their privacy, and teens don't do it. Case studies are a definite no. This is more of a marketing comment, but people expect reviews. To overcome that, I try to list people and organisations I collaborate with to show credibility.
Hey, I see you recommend calendly, is there another plug in you know of that doesn't direct the visitor outside of the website when they want to schedule an appointment or consultation? Like a plug in that integrates into the website?
Hello Wes! I am trying to work out the "Lead Magnet Opt In" page idea for my freelance graphic design portfolio website. Would you have some tips and examples on how creatives could implemented it? Thank you.
Yea, check out mine: thedeependdesign.com/roi ... its basic, but it should be. Make it look professional, but not distracting. Much more important to get he messaging right than to fuss too much over the design.
I want to to have 2 CTA. One of scheduling a call for prospects above the fold and second of email collecting lead magnet. Where could I place the lead magnet and make it discoverable?i
You just have to actually be near them, and do everything you can do to rank well in map search. Using the term "near me " in your website copy won't do any good. Check out this video to make sure your local SEO is as good as it can be: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_2P-l57clHg.html
Honestly, that's not always a must, UNLESS you're a personal brand, where they need to get to know you a bit more personally. Even then, it needs to be more about how you HELP your clients, not so much about you. Cheers!
I don't think I did actually... Simply saying that case studies aren't necessarily as important for emergency/preventative businesses. For those types of businesses, testimonials are usually more impactful. Sorry you thought that was an insult!
@@WesMcDowellInc I was actually joking. Testimonials are great for us. I really like your videos and what all you are doing. You are giving out great advice! Keep it up!!!
