You should Meter the NAC while it's Disconnected from the panel.

How would this apply to SLC devices if it isn't too much trouble could you elaborate on that please

@Joseph Williams with SLC, it isn't really necessary to troubleshoot this way, since the panel knows the status of all the devices. The reason you troubleshoot NACs this way is because they aren't smart devices.

If you wanted to demo the nac circuit completely, would you need to deprogram at the panel first then tear it out

You would need to find the end of line resistor and place it across the terminals for that circuit, then the wire can be removed if needed.

Couldnt they just kill the circuit at the panel and then let us remove the circuit and devices?@@IsaacCoverstone
