Hello! I am having trouble fitting a wrench or pliers beween the bulb and the electrical fitting in order to get the carb apart. How were you able to do it? I was thinking grinding a wrench down until it fits
Can I pick your brain? I have same engine on ariens xd 52, turns over but won't crank and stay on. I don't see fuel going thru fuel filter...you think is the carb?
This is gonna sound extremely simple but make sure your tank has plenty of fuel in the tank. If you disconnect your fuel line on the carb and put the hose into a pan and no fuel comes out. Remove the fuel tank cap, maybe a clogged vent (as fuel comes out of the tank air has to go in it to make up for the displacement to not cause a vacuum in the tank) Removed the fuel filter, fuel will come out the line after it's taken off if it is clogged. Some mowers have a fuel shut off usually a little red lever just follow your lines to the tank and you'll see it if it has one. Next, take the line off the tank and see if fuel comes out of the tank that will tell you if it's inside the tank or the line stopped up. Depending on how the fuel system is designed most mowers have a fuel pump with is a diaphragm style pump ran off a vacuum by the intake of the engine. If yours does have this little round or square block with three lines going to it those are a little more complex to diagnose but not hard at all if done right. If you have fuel going to the carb then it's either your float a stopped up jet or no spark. An engine needs three things fuel compression and spark once you have those three we have the horsepower. Just let me know if you need any other help, also you are not gonna see fuel actively going through the fuel filter anyway not enough flow.
Well I guess if you have experience dismantling the carb, know the parts of the carb & how they function, then 'doing this' without instructing as you go along , the video is very helpful....but since you didn't SAY what you were doing for 90% of the video but just 'did stuff', not much help for someone trying to follow and learn!
