I have been watching your videos for years. They keep getting better and more useful. Every time I think I know something about something you guys come along and show me more. I absolutely love the improvements that have been done to the Servo-Driven Gear Rack kit. I only wish it would be able to extend further. I'd use it to extend the arms out of the torso of my full sized Lost In Space Robot. I need about 16". Looks like the Servo-Driven Gear Rack only goes about 9". :-( Either way, what a wonderful product. Thank you.

I wonder if I could make an attachment for my tablesaw using that servo driven gear rack kit. 60 pounds would probably be enough to drive a board through while keeping hands at a safe distance. Not sure if I would use it, but that's my first idea for it.

60 lbsf for the gear rack! I'd love to see the test rig itself in an upcoming video, as well as other applications. What about position feedback for the gear rack? I imagine it's like a stepper! Count your output pulses, and assume the servo has moved where you commanded it (in continuous mode). Right?
