Episode 52:
I don’t condone buying fakes but because I’m not making money from this guitar, I don’t feel THAT bad. It was an insane $140 on a highly-rated store on Ali Express so, I went for it. I leave it to you to judge whether or not it’s worth the money. I haven’t changed a thing. This is exactly how the guitar came from China, all I did was put some Ernie Ball 9’s on and tuned down a half step ala Yngwie.

I just got mine,it’s shockingly amazing,the only issue I’ve got is that the trem is a little bit overscrewed but that’s fixable,also I’ll have to get used to the scalloped fretboard

Same here. I couldn’t tell why i didn’t like mine at first but I knew it was hard to play. The strings felt so damn tight. So I changed the strings to 9’s and they were still tight and it was abnormally hard to use the Tremelo arm. Once I loosened up the screws on the back it made a huge difference. I’m also getting used to the scallop board 🔥

Doesn't sound bad at all.Sounds like a Fender and sounds like Malmsteen tones are good. After hearing it I'll have to check out an Ace Frehley Led Paul as I'm a huge fan of him and Kiss.

That’s crazy for the price, hey I don’t suppose you have any experience with buying pickups from AliExpress do you? I want a set of strat pickups because I’m going to mod a bullet Mustang with the strat pickups like Thirston Moore’s, it’s just they have that much choice on the site I didn’t want to end up buying crud pickups, any advice would be appreciated, thanks man Awesome playing btw 👌🏼👍🏼🎸

Thanks Matt! I don’t have experience buying pickups from there. Actually, my advice is to not do that. For a project like that I’d go for legit great sounding ones. 🤘🏻

Surprised about the massive neck comment ...no other reviewer has made that point. The chibson LP I got fwiw also had a massive neck, which I had to sand down to make it playable. I dont know if it's sloppy specs or maybe large necks are actually less expensive to make because theyre raw and don't bother shaping them

Just look for reviews or chat with the seller and build your own custom fender strator tele or gibson lespaul..

It sounds good but a lot of time's that could be the amp your using and effects. But I can say I don't really think that it's quite the same as the fender stratocaster that malmsteen played curious what the scalloped frets are like and why are they so special why did y malmsteen like it like that?

Sure. Well, he claims it helps with vibrato and really “grabbing” the note. Plus, he was a huge Blackmore fan who also scalloped his frets. To me they feel odd.

It's not the guitar that makes the difference but the musician! We can shed blood as sacrificially as we like by purchasing the Original Malmsteen guitar! We can also spend 4/5/6000 Dollars but the guitarist's touch will always and only make the difference, so I am of the opinion that essentially this is the real value that such a guitar should have. that is about ⁸200 dollars

I have too many guitars as it it, so I just bought it's neck. Which by the SOOOO fucked up! It's going to take hours to fix all the flaws. The 5-6 gap was GROUND 😳😳😳halfway through the side dot. I also have to remove . 110 inch of the heel to bring it to spec. 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Seriously, WTF?
