Sestamibi Scans and How to See Your Parathyroid Glands 

I find Dr. Norman's videos very educational. It's too bad there is no one as knowledgeable in Michigan. I just waited 3 months to see an endocrinologist. Been suffering brian fog, fatigue, kidney stones and osteoporosis. Got the sestimibi scan and ultrasound. They found no adenomas. Now they want me to come back 3 months from now for a follow up. It all seems pointless if I still have all the symptoms. 😞

I appreciate the information. Presented in an understandable way. My confusion now is this...Finding a tumor (adenoma) outside of the normal area of the thyroid gland, shows up on this Sestamibi scan but the location of the other three parathyroid glands still, as you repeatedly insist and show in your operation video, are unknown. How do you find those three to test them?

If a person has a tumor in more than one of those areas out of the normal range do you still look at all 4 visually and check for them? Will you do more than one incision if necessary?

Thanks for this video, I had an elevated calcium reading and diagnosed with parathyroid though subsequent reading of my calcium was normal. I have had mri scan and sestamibi scan both were negative. But i keep having this pain in my throat like a sore throat but no pain when i swallow. I would like to know if parathyroid gives pain in the throat ?
