great tutorial sasha! it helped a lot to install mine today! I´m pretty sure that the spare tiny little screw goes actually in the golden part that you installed first, which uses two screws but I saw you only put one. I hope this helped! cheers!
Yes, you are 100% correct - very good observation. I see, nothing I do goes unnoticed.... 😉 I realised that yesterday. I think I will leave it like this and see if I get slippage.... If yes, I have a mission of add the other screw.... 🤣
The software installation part of this video was extremely helpful... had problems with my Esatto yesterday and think it came down to improper installation which I was able to fix thanks to your video. Thanks!
Great Video Sasha! I’ll be reviewing the Esatto Low profile focuser for my Edge Hd 8 scope on my channel in about a week. I also have another focuser which I will be reviewing before that one which also allows you to manually focus. But I must say I love the Primaluce stuff. It’s pricey but works a treat. Best regards Luis from NY
9:29 Beautiful and detailed video Sasha. Sesto senso is a beautiful piece of work. However, even after tightening the small screw (9:29 in your video), i still am having slippage. I removed the stepper motor, held on the gold colored coupler and manually moved the coarse focus knob and even while holding onto it with just a slight bit of force, the focuser would move while the coupler remained in position. I eventually gave up thinking sesto senso (as good as it is) is probably not meant for my scope specifically (FRA600). I am hoping i did something wrong because of which i am not able to pair it with my scope in which case i want to figure out what it could be.
I did state that the EAF is USD 70 cheaper, but given on the overall pricing in Astrophotography, this has nothing to do with „affordability“. I did state what you get more for these USD 70 - now it is up to everyone to decide if this is worth it or not.
@@viewintospace Actually Affordability IS a huge reason for purchases, most things in Astrophotography are overpriced because of the small market. Affordability is Extremely important not just a side note. Most people watching your channel can only dream about affording some of your toys.
@@viewintospaceif you look at the version with the accessories the EAF is $250 vs $269 so only a $19 difference while offering a lot more quality, control, and essentially no backlash.
Great video as always. I have the Askar 120 APO and I tried to connect to the Sesto Senso (as you did at 9:47) I clamp on the coarse focuser. The Sesto is not fixed. It will rotate. Shouldn't you connect to the black part of the focuser? Thanks
No, to the silver one works fine, just fix it tight enough and it will not move anymore. That said, measure the diameter of the silver one - it might not be identical to the 103 APO and might need an adapter
