You're right for sharing this, so thank you. 1) problems don't get fixed unless they're brought to light 2) we now know and can make more informed decisions 3) those who would use this info for nefarious purposes would keep it to themselves and we would be none the wiser
I opened a case two days ago and I can tell you that it is not just legendaries and rares. I sorted all commons/uncommons and not only where all the main color stack the same height, but when I sorted the individuel colors they came out in the same patterns. Meaning the same cards where added to the same stacks several times over different packs in the same sequence. I got two complete sets of commons/uncommons over the entire case and in each colors there where cards where I only got 6 or 7 of them. These cards where usually the unique characters.
I have a similar experience. I opened 8 box's and when I started sorting my common/uncommons I noticed that I have about 3x the amount of cunning aspect cards than the other aspects
Thanks to you and your information I was able to inform my local game store before a drafting event where they were going to allow people to pick packs from the box for their three packs. I told him to make sure they shuffle them if not all packs that they would use from, two or more boxes
It's important to note that when you switch from opening the right stack to the left one there is a break in your expected pattern. The boxes may be packed left to right, or they may just plop two random stacks in there. Either way, it would be good to track each stack separately in order to get a better understanding of the distribution. I'm sure you can do that with the data you have already, just try rearranging the two halves of the box to see if things align better, worse, or about the same.
I understand that this works, and it is unfortunate that this is the case. I intend to stay as uneducated about this as possible though because I want my box opening experience to feel random and exciting. Like most others though, this is helpful for knowing i shouldn't buy packs individually.
Yep, this box is exact to one I got. And your other video I got exactly what you got on the left side. But on the right side I got none of them. I got 12 packs from pre release packs, so I'm not sure what could have been. But I do have 2 The Mandalorian, 1 Rey and 1 Supreme Leader Snoke legendarys. Which were not in my pre release packs. So I got all those on that right side I'm assuming.
Multiple locals including myself aree considering how many boxes we buy vs singles from this issue alone. To me this is beyond disheartening and I hope enough people request FFG/Asmodee bring up the issue soonest and address it on the head soonest. I unfortunately see way to many CONS vs any pros had and consensus locally appears to be the same.
What’s the correlation box to box within a case? Does that mean your other 5 boxes in this case will be similar? ie more likely to have DJ’s and Krayts?
I had an okay Poe box that did not have a krayt dragon but had endless legions and shodown. Then i opened a six legendary box with a showcase. Overall im happier than last set lol 😂
So I opened 2 bixes of the 1st set SoR. 1 box followed the legendary. 3 legendaries clustered. Other box didn't, but it was very random all over the place. Contained a showcase.
I bought 3 boxes. They were the same Legends and rares. Kylo Unit, Second Chance and evacuate. If i wanted to play an Living card game i wouldnt of quit netrunner
If this gets out itll completely ruin most of what not streams. people will just ask for specific packs and then leave the rest of the box "dead" and no one will want those cards most of the time. Yes you have people that still SC hunt or hope for extra Ls but most people wont buy into those "dead" packs.
Thank you for making this. I bought two booster boxes and they BOTH had this chunk in it. The sad thing is I was ONE pack shy of hitting the Krayt dragon in both boxes. Needless to say, it was a disappointing (and costly) use of nearly $300 of resources. I won’t be buying any more booster boxes for this set, but at least there are a few trustworthy stores with (large) draft nights and pack per win prize support nearby that open fresh boxes and shuffle the packs before playing. I’ll play and enjoy the game that way. Hopefully FFG corrects this issue in the next set. We don’t need huge Anakin chunks-that’s how Jedi Purges happen!
Sealed boxes should be fine. For now, a booster has to be opened and a pack has to be opened before knowing what's inside. However, there have been many duplicate boxes inside a case, but no pattern or way to tell before opening.
@@hisdudeness4925 I pointed out this. I asked for it so I could test on my 12 PERSONAL boxes and was shouted down. However, I'm 90% TCGPlayer resellers already have this info and are using it. It's changed the way I look at Drafting this set and honestly in general. That being said, mixing up box contents is a good step but realistically the predictive nature means if I didn't see the wrapping come off the box then maybe someone already grabbed it from an already open box.
