It will if there are fish below passing through the cone. In 6’ of water the cone only maps a 6’ circle in a low a frequency setting. In high frequency it would be an even smaller circle, 2’. You also have to factor in that a fish would be off the bottom further decreasing the “circle of view” within the cone. Side scan can be used to mark fish off to the side as can the newer live imaging sonar. Cheers, Phil
