Here we go: 1) He directs the shows, animates the characters, directs the scores, and provides the voices for all 3 of his shows, 2) He is a professional singer in his spare time, 3) He has hosted 3 consecutive Comedy Central Roasts, 4) He has directed "Ted" and is directing "1000 Ways to Die in the West" as we speak, AND is considering a "Ted" sequel, and of course, 5) He has hosted the Oscars. Have a nice day. :)
I think Seth is a genius. I hope to one day show my animated tv show to the world and have Seth be a guest star voice actor. He is truly an inspiration. The world needs more people like him to joke about everything. Because people who can laugh at everything, tend to lead a better, more generous and courageous life. Thanks Seth for years and years of laughter.
he's talented, hardworking and committed. But southpark fanboys will always have something crappy to say. I like both of them but fanboys of either of them get on my nerves.
My son is 4 and Family Guy is his favorate show. I feel it is my responsability to explain to him what he sees on the show. When my son has questions about the referense to sex i explain as a 4 year old would understand, its kissing. There is nothing wrong with Family Guy. I grew up on The Simpsons and back then they d wa inapproprate for kids. Its a parents job to parent not TV creators.
It saddens me to hear him say he doesnt like south park, because south park and family guy share the same pointless over the line humor that would just be priceless in some sort of crossover! But its also kind of fun to have the two working as "rivals" poking at each other I guess. The two best show out of the "animation" scuffle, no doubt.
Its because after the Cartoon wars episode that South Park did, which Seth has said in many interviews he thinks is funny, all the South Park staff just flat out stopped talking to the Family Guy staff, and it was South Park that started it, sadly. I love both shows :)
Seth is super talented, funny, and not many artists are like him or left in this world. More people with the comedic genius like him should be made as stars instead of the junk we call famous now. Plus hes pretty damn hot lol.
People will complain about anything and everything no matter what. Obviously Family Guy doing very well if its made it this long on TV the same with South Park which is my other favorite show. The writers for these shows will do what they have to do to get and keep their ratings and viewers for these show whether you put race and gay etc jokes into the mix of comedy. That's what the viewers want to see so they do what keeps the viewers happy like Seth said no one forcing you to watch the show. He right about animated shows were never originally for kids sorry he old fashion but these is what made him rich and famous you all complain about his jokes but yet half of this country went to waste money at the theaters to go see movies like jackass who are more disturbing than Family Guy, American Dad and South Park ever could be.
Tell it as it is, Seth. I do like South Park, but you put in WAY more hard work than they ever have. The proof is in the pudding... or your fortune, in this case.
"there are people that i avoid. if i ever saw christina aguilera at a party, i would just go hide my face in a potato chip bowl". lol. but 6 years later, he sang with her. wtf?
Well you're opposites, 180° from each other, on the axis called impulse. Taureans have a "I create and I own" impulse, and Scorpio it's "destroy and transcend", but you attract each other. it's a challenge, but there's a huge attraction :)
The show was going a little down but now it's actually getting better and cut the guy some slack he's got three shows to write at the same time he has to share the comedic writing in all of them I say he's doing a good job keeping track
If your going to argue kids stopping by to watch because it's cartoon fine but as an adult now I watch old cartoons I watched growing up only to realize all the jokes I missed that amount to almost the same thing.
Simpsons - Family Guy - South Park. Overall, I just think that The Simpsons has better characters, better humor, more original voice acting, and a few other advantages.
It bothers me how the creators of South Park talk down the Family Guy's writing, considering all of South Park's writing is entirely dependant on pop culture. They are completely incapable of creating an episode with a plot unrelated to anything in prominent the media. The sad thing is, South Park didn't start out this way. It once had the some of the most original writing on television.
The only thing I probably disagree with Seth on is the notion that all or most music since the 60's or 70's is bad. Other then that I think I'm 100% in his corner and my favorite show is The Simpsons. I think it's stubborn and ridiculous to be on one side or the other and not enjoy or appreciate each show for what it is. I used to be that way...like 6 some years ago(my excuse is I was like 16, 17 at the time. Probably younger)
Parker and Stone always come off looking like so bitter and jealous. They are brilliant in their own right and in many ways even a bit smarter than what FG delivers, but McFarlane never goes there, at least not publically and he comes off as the classy one, by far. I love both SP and FG, but when it comes to respect, I have so much more respect for Seth who never has bashed his competition publically.
