Late reply, but the chime movement needs to be oiled, you need to take out the movement and put a drop of clock oil in each hole where the gear is. I’m no expert, but search up “how to oil a clock”
Steve Jordan - it depends on whether the hands are held in place with a nut or a pin. Basically you need to unscrew the nut or remove the pin, then the minute hand should pretty much fall off. The hour hand has a mini-shaft that fits along the stem that sticks through the dial.
i have one too, but i cant figure out what the third key hole in the front is for. i know ones for the chime, and ones to power the movement inside, but whats the 3rd one for?
The front keyholes on this particular clock are: Time on the left Strike in the center Chime on the right. Strike is the hour and half hour notification, while Chime is the notes that are played every 15 minutes.
