As a libero I have so much respect for setters. the setter is such a demanding job because you have to know how all the hitters like their ball to be set and if its a bad pass you figure out a way to work with it. The libero is also a demanding job because its sacrificing your body for a play or the natural ability to get the ball. Respect to both positions for all the hard work
As a setter I love liberios so much like y'all be saving our asses all the time and they often get injured from getting hit by the ball too hard or crashing on the floor so we respect yall
Neither job is easy.. especially when the PASSERS pass too low or shank the ball like gurl I can’t set that and then the hitters complain my sets aren’t good enough like 🥹
oh my god i dont play volleyball and i thought this comment was talking about how liberos train, and for a second there i thought that liberos train by throwing themselves on the wall until i read the replies 😭😭😭
Libero: Quick feet & Instinct to get to where the ball is going to come down. Now u just gotta get the hands in sync w those two. Good luck. Both positions r demanding & rewarding.
Vollyball has become quite interesting to me and i wanna try and become a Libero so do you have any sort of tips at all thag can be useful? Or any at all idm
These are no easy jobs in volleyball, that's for sure! Both are very demanding. I used to play as a libero, and lets just say that knee pads were my best friend 💀 I have a lot of respect for setters- and all positions really. Volleyball is a huge team sport, so every player is important! :)
I am a futsal goalkeeper at my campus. I remember my coach suggest me to train with libero at campus' volleyball club in order to increase my reflexes dan responses. I joined them for once, and somehow the training session indeed gave me more reflexes and responses. And then I realize libero and goalkeeper at some point we has something in common. We both has different jersey on the field, of course. Then sometimes we are invisible and abandoned, especially when the team wins. But usually got blamed if the team is losing haha lol
our class futsal team didnt have a good goalkeeper,so they asked someone who used to play volleyball to do the job and he was very good at it😭throughout the whole 6 years,he was the goalkeeper for our batch
Fun fact. Both of them practice those 2 things. There are lots of times where the libero has to set the ball. And lot's of times where the setter has to make a dig🤷🏻♂️
@Kennie_Neko try to call as much as you can in practice. when i started playing volleyball i started out just doing quiet calls to get in the habit and then you progressively start getting louder. also if you are doing drills at home call the ball as loud as you can. sometimes when I was on the court I would get uncomfortable because I didnt think I was as good as everyone and it was just a new thing for me (not saying thats your case just mine) so a change of scenery can help you get comfortable to do it on court. Hope this helps!
Setting is no easy job, its very demanding and constant pressure. It's also hard because each player likes their ball set to them in a different way. TvT Liberos are very hard working to, their playing is awesome!!
True! I'm doing Setting too. You're ryt! The Attacker has there own way to attack the ball near or far the net, either higher sets or low. A lot of demands from them. But I saw a Quality game to Olympic and Volleyball World Championship the Attacker must adjust and not complain the Setter and get a point. Just for fun games, not the Pro's.😅
My first volleyball game ever my coach put me in as a libero. I had literally no idea what I was doing cause we had only had 3 practices. I didn’t even know what libero was. It was so embarrassing 😂
That... is crazy. Usually for new players you'd let them play without system for a while. Volleyball is already extremely technically difficult, playing with a set position and system from the get-go could never go well. Although I guess it depends on wether or not the game allow for playing without system
Can we talk about the difficulty of being a right/opposite hitter while being right handed for a minute- ✋💀 (Please note I've been a setter and really wanted to be a libero before, so I do get the struggles of both, and find them both very impressive, I'm just a right hitter currently)
Libero is a more flashy position (but also very important for a teams defense) but setters are like the silent heros, if you don't have a good setter no one else can shine
These 2 along with middle blocker seem like the most toughest positions to play. I play libero and 💀💀i fear for my life along with the setter's and middle blocker's. The practice that goes into them, us diving everywhere for every ball, the setter setting every ball there is, and the middle blocker jumping for every spike, its hell
As a setter mad respect to Libero, I played libero for a single season back in 6th grade and I wounded up with like 20 bruises on my leg from a single season ALONE
OMG this is so true, i'm the only lib on my team but we have 2 ds's which gives me a little time to rest before its my turn to do smth like 10 touches or dig drills. TwT
This kinda reminds me of my friend and me. Both of us were in the team and both wanted to be setters. My friend was good at setting but he hated how he was passed the ball. I was better at setting in general and was 190cm compared to him being 172cm. So I became the team setter. He went on to became our libero and became my primary support because him being a setter prior he knew exactly how I wanted the ball, where I wanted it and how high I wanted it. He and I became a duo to support our hitters.
This may be one of your greatest videos yet, and that’s saying something. The material you have to work with is beyond exceptional - Mann is one of the most visually arresting filmmakers of the last few generations - but your selection of shots, your editing to the music, and the song choice (the same Moby track used at the end of Heat) really put it over the top. Bravo.
i play as both... i hate doing setter practices its so difficult! mad respect for the setters out there! im only a setter because nobody else wants to do it!
The practice of the liberos are very difficult, but if you do it with passion, everything is possible, and in setters practice, its difficult too, but i see my sister, and she is doing great. Greetings from Peru
I love being a libero, I actually used to want to be a hitter and I DESPISED diving. Now it's the opposite, because I can't be a hitter as I cannot jump high enough and I am a bit vertically challenged lol (I'm in 8th grade). After I learned how to dive I started doing it more and more and I love it more than anything.
Libero: - dives and most of the times get bruises but they like the pain Setters: - trains proper setting to avoid missing the set and dislocating the finger, something everyone agrees is never a satisfying pain
Wheneve i read libero something related to volleyball, i always thought of NOSHINOYA(a volleyball player who is an Imaginary who lives is anime world)AND WHEN I SAW OR READ "rolling.... THUNDER" IT WAS INDEED NICE AND BRINGS BACK MEMORIES 😭
It's True that Libero balances the game but without setters points will not go higher. if a setter gives wrong set, then it is easy for opponent to win free points. By the way, RESPECT TO ALL THE 6 PLAYERS.
Setter and libero are literally some of the hardest jobs on the court I have played both positions and I have setter for life lol but they are both pushed to their limit in practices
Setting is hard but I love it. Not only requires to give a perfect set from anywhere even if it was a horrible pass. Plus you have to read both sides and see where everyone is standing.
In the real game tho theyre both good but if someone passes and its far setter has to get it also because of 2nd ball and then libero dives and defends spikes or drop balls.
Love your vlogs! I really wanna tipid but I feel like eating out makes me happy huhu it definitely feels like I'm treating myself. You probs should try Kodawari, it's walking distance from your office area. Kind of pricey but their chickendon is 😩💛
@@ieroslotus777And I disagree with you. I think it’s depends on the team. My little sister is a setter and throughout the entire season, she was NOT even benched ONCE. Meanwhile they would switch out liberos and etc. She is in varsity and does club when the school volleyball season is over .
