Also, love the cause you are raising money for! Growing up my mom raised 4 girls by herself. There were christmases when I was older that my mom literally couldn't afford more than our tree. One year in particular was the year before I got married. Some friends of mine teamed up with their church and got us all jackets and food and even a few fun things for my younger sister. They brought my mom a Turkey for food and she cried. As a young adult being poor myself it was hard not being able to spoil her and my sisters but we were all so so grateful for the things we received that year and I still even have the jacket I got!

Love this! My boyfriend and I usually go around LA passing out food on Christmas day to some of the homeless people on the street. We always see other people passing out food or blankets. I've been following along on your journey for about a year now and I'm so happy with how your channel has grown! Congrats 🎉

You are always very good at going through your things to see what can be given to others, so Sydney is getting a good example from early in life. There are 4 major Thanksgiving songs to teach children for that holiday. They are in most hymnals, I think, and/or American songbooks. I have a friend whose family begins singing Christmas carols when they are cleaning up from Thanksgiving dinner and then they decorate for XMas that weekend. Lots of charitable organizations collect to get food to people for the winter. There are food cupboards that get food to those with a kitchen, but no food to cook in it. And there are soup kitchens that provide actual hot meals on site. Many go on Thanksgiving morning to help serve a noon meal to the homeless or otherwise needy and then go to their family holiday dinner. Or if their family dinner is early, they leave to go to a center that is doing their holiday meal for the needy late in the afternoon. A few times in our childhood when my father had a 4-day weekend, he would take us to a soup kitchen to feed the needy all day and then on Friday in the wee hours of the morning, just as though it were Thursday, my mother would be up doing Thanksgiving dinner for the family so we would have the smells in the house and the leftovers for sandwiches and salad and soup for the entire weekend. Do you go to your mother's for Thanksgiving? Will Sydney see her father's side? Hey, where you live, you could do Canadian Thanksgiving in October when you still have warm-colored autumnal/harvesty things up decorating the house and just do whatever on our November holiday. Bad times can come upon any of us. You are right. You pulled a lot together for a small household of two. I did not know about Amazon returns to Kohl's and how easy it is. Thanks for that useful tidbit. Don't you find the quandary of a rainy day that you want to stay home and be cozy, but then if you need groceries you have to consider how empty the grocery store and lines will be due to the rain. Most times cozy wins with me. Where did you order online? Looked like they package the items well with reusable bags.

The next time you go down to Kittery, check out the Hannah Anderson outlet for great new kids' jeans or in Portsmouth, check out the Children's Orchard. They often have great secondhand kids clothes and sometimes it's really nice brands!

The last week before Christmas, my husband goes to a certain person and asks what she needs to finish hamper’s. Then he gives her money to buy what she needs. I used to belong to a group, quite awhile ago, we made up hampers with everything for Christmas dinner. From turkey to cranberry’s to treats. This made me sad, as we have so much.👍💕🇨🇦🎀

My daughter long and lean, so we always struggle to find jeans that fit her. Her legs are so long but her waist and legs are so skinny, so I can’t buy her jeans from places like Walmart or Target. A couple years ago (when she was 3), I started buying her jeans at H&M because they were the only store I could find that had true skinny jeans for toddlers. She’s now 6 and H&Ms skinny jeans are now getting baggy as we go up in size. But she now fits in Justice skinny jeans, in the slim sizes. They’re more expensive. But when you have lean girls with long legs, you don’t have a choice. 😂 My 14m old son is very similar in body shape, but thankfully for boys, baggy pants are totally acceptable and normal. Haha. Skinny jeans in the boy jeans are baggy on him so they just look like normal jeans. So maybe I won’t struggle as much with him. 🤞🏻

This is why I hate when people buy my kids clothes or ask what size they wear because....I don't know! So then I have to say if you're at x store it's this size and this brand runs small, etc..
