Thanks for another very helpful video. I often struggle with dialogue, so will definitely be experimenting with different crossovers to see if I can improve things.

I tired using this to set up my crossover but I noticed that this only plays in stereo so I cant seem to get the sound to come out of my center channel. Any advice? was this intended to be used on "All channel stereo"?

It must be a setting in your AVR as normally when it sees a mono signal in the left and right channel, it will route that signal to the center channel speaker. You might have the input set up to play a stereo feed in stereo and not Dolby Surround. Thanks for watching

thanks, if your center channel sounds low in output, you may want to bump its volume level up some first

What is volume trim ? What are effects ? Its function in Yamaha AVR. UNDER volume trim there are 2 functions Input Trim and Subwoofer Trim. Pl guide about this.

I just finish using this video for my CC speaker this made a difference. I use the sync video as well. At first I didn't understand the sync video but after listen and playing with the adjustment it clicked. I wonder if there will be any future videos for surrounds. Atmos speakers those that seat on the top of the speakers.

Totally agree with using this for speaker placement, but for crossover, wouldn't your receiver's auto calibration software correct this issue? I'm using Audyssey XT32 from my Denon and it sounds good after calibration.

A more acurate setup for this test would be to play source dialogue in mono and disconnect (or turn off) all speakers except for your center channel from your receiver. Just my opinion 🙂

Yes, you could still do that with this track, we purposely used dialog that can excite cabinets and walls if the crossover is not right. Thanks for watching

@@AudioAdvice Yes, and i also found that the dialogue you guys used is excellent to eliminate "nasal" or "boxy" frequencies if you have a seperate eq or on your receiver. Like a couple of other comments from people... no matter what combination of audio settings i use from source to receiver, i can't get the center channel to play on this vid unless i set my receiver to "7 Channel Stereo"... which is what led to my first comment ☝😊 Maybe i set something wrong on my pc?! Other than that, great stuff guys 👍

Is there a multi channel sample of human voice passing thru LCR and surrround channels ?

You Tube is only stereo, but this test is only for the center channel speaker, 99.9% of the human voice in a movie would be routed to the center channel. If you do want to use this in multichannel, just put your processor or receiver in all channel stereo. Thanks for watching

Yes this comment is a year old but I think you'll find RU-vid now does indeed have 5.1 audio. (Don't hold me to this but I think it may be just for RU-vid paid subscribers!)
