Is there a reason for not swapping to a Hall sensor? Only asking because how I've fought with VR sensors, and they are much more demanding than a Hall. Or I should say, Hall sensors are easy to setup and they give a consistent reading without issue. It's great though that FuelTech is willing to help you with this!
I called Fueltech today. They said most of the cars they tune are using a VR sensor and all the promods they tune use VR sensors, they didn't say why though. I think with VR sensors it really matters the software strategy used to read them. I think FT has gotten a good handle on them. Holley has really given the VR sensors a bad name lol.
