Sorry to hear that you're having problems. Specifically which Scarlett audio interface do you have? Are you connecting directly to an available USB port on your Mac using the cable that came with your Scarlett?
@I-Am-Beerus

@@FocusriteHelpI’m having the same issue. And no I’m not using the same usb cord because the one you have provided isn’t a double edged usbc, (as shown in the pictures). Honestly I feel like I got ripped off😐

@@I-Am-Beerus Apologies for the delay in response. We ship our interfaces with type A-C USB cables because many users don't have access to USB-C ports yet. However, if you would like a USB-C-C cable, we would be happy to provide you with one if you reach out to spares@focusrite.com.

Hi. Can 4th Gen 2i2 or 4i4 connect to iPad Pro through USB-C? And, does it require a separate power source when connected to an iPad through USB-C? Thanks.
@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp 6 месяцев назад
Yes, in theory that should work well. All Scarlett 4th Gen range audio interfaces would be expected to be able to draw power from an iPad Pro and transmit audio successfully, when connected directly via USB-C.

pls do I need a usb adaptor to connect to my Mac. cos I only have type c port to usb and I don't know how to make it work.
@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp 6 месяцев назад
The latest Scarlett interfaces ship with a USB A-C cable, if you only have USB-C-type ports you will need either a USB-C-A adapter or a separate USB-C to USB-C cable. Please let us know if this helps or if you have additional questions.

No volume control is available on the keyboard, or through my apps. Can I only adjust volume on the Scarlett unit itself?!
@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp 8 дней назад
That's correct. When connected to your computer and selected as the audio input and output device, all audio passes through the Scarlett, effectively replacing the computer's internal soundcard. As a result, any controls that would normally affect the internal soundcard will have no effect on Scarlett. To adjust the volume, you can use Focusrite Control (if you have a compatible product) or the hardware controls on the Scarlett itself.

@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp Месяц назад
No, Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen comes packaged with a USB-C to USB-A cable but any good-quality USB-C to USB-C cable that's no longer than 2 metres would also work well.

How can I send audio from my computer to the Interface? I already connected the usb-c cable to my computer, changed all the input and output settings to the Scarlet, but the interface is not recognizing my computer as an input. What should I do?
@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp 3 месяца назад
Have you connected monitor speakers/headphones to your Scarlett? If you have successfully selected Scarlett as the audio input and output device on your computer, it should be successfully streaming audio. When in use, Scarlett essentially replaces your computer's built-in soundcard so all audio passes through Scarlett.

greetings; I'm about to buy this one or possibly the “solo” fourth generation ) but I would like to know if they are compatible with Mac OS Mojave (10.14.6)
@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp Месяц назад
We really appreciate your interest in Scarlett 4th Gen however, Scarlett 4th Gen is not compatible with macOS Mojave (10.14.6). Scarlett is USB Class Compliant so might be able to pass audio successfully if connected but the Focusrite Control 2 application, required by Scarlett 4th Gen, isn't compatible with macOS Mojave. The earliest macOS version that is compatible is Catalina 10.15.

If my Macmini goes to Sleep settting, my Focusrite 2i2 turns off. Then when I turn the computer back on, I have to unplug one side of the USB cord and plug it back in for the Mac to recognize it. Anyone else had this problem and know if there's a simpler solution to have it recognized?
@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp 7 месяцев назад
Sorry you're having problems with that. That's right, this would be expected to happen because when your computer enters Sleep mode, the USB ports will become inactive. This is why is your 2i2 stops connecting to your computer and why we generally advise against the use of Sleep mode - support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207546515--Optimising-macOS-for-Audio

Hi, is Scarlett 2i2 4th Generation compatible with MacBook Pro 16" M1 Max? I ask that because it seems this scarlett uses USB 2.0 protocol and MacBook has Thunderbolt 4. Thanks
@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp 7 дней назад
Yes! Scarlett 4th generation devices are USB 2.0 devices that are compatible with Thunderbolt 4 ports. More info on compatibility can be found here: support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115000137805-Focusrite-compatibility-with-USB-3-1-and-Thunderbolt-ports

@@FocusriteHelpin this case I could use a simple usb-c 2.0 correct? Any disadvantage or problem on using a thunderbolt cable? Thanks
@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp 7 часов назад
Yes, this is possible, and there would be no change in quality because thunderbolt ports are backward compatible with USB.

I've done all this over and over but I can't get any sound to record from several microphones through my 2i2 - I checked system preferences for Mac and the mic is moving the meter - but nothing through Reaper - I changed the setting on Reaper Devices as well - nothing!

@FocusriteHelp 7 месяцев назад
Hi, we're sorry to hear you are having trouble. A couple things to check: 1. Have you made sure that the individual tracks you are trying to record to in Reaper are set with the correct input to your mic/instrument are connected too? 2. Have you made sure the Scarlett is set as the input/output device in both your reaper preferences and in your computer preferences? 3. Have you followed all the steps in this article to get started? support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/207546025-Reaper-Setup-Guide If you follow all of these steps and still experience issues, please reach out to our support team at the link below for further assistance. bit.ly/FocusriteSupport

Hi ! I'm running on MacOS 14. I can't modify the channel number used by the scarlett, i would like to use it for live audio stream but i can hear only at left. I used to change the channel numbers on MIDI setting of the MacOS but i can't on the scarlett idk why and how to process

Do you have a Scarlett Solo 4th Gen? If you're working with an application that is only able to accept a stereo signal or audio specifically from input 1, you may just need to combine the inputs in Focusrite Control 2, as explained here - support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/14653126009490-Using-the-Scarlett-Solo-4th-Gen-in-apps-which-only-see-one-input-or-stereo-inputs

My Scarlett 18i20 3rd Gen not appear in the Mac OS Sound options. Also when I install the Focusrite Control driver (3.6 or 3.16) on my MacPro with Monterrey the text appears: No Harware Connected. I also tried to do it like in this video and it didn't work either: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-akP-IlX_Phk.html The same thing happens on my Macbook Pro M2 Max with Mac Os Ventura. Should I try to return the product because it doesn't work on my Mac?

Scarlett is plug-and-play on Mac, a Mac driver doesn't exist as it isn't required, Scarlett uses Apple Core Audio. Do you need drivers if using Mac? Or is that only windows?
@FocusriteHelp
@FocusriteHelp 6 месяцев назад
As Scarlett is a USB Class Compliant device, it's plug-and-play on Mac. It uses Apple Core Audio so a Mac driver isn't required and doesn't exist. To pass audio when used with Windows, the Focusrite USB driver is required. For most of our current devices, this driver is included with the installation of Focusrite Control/Focusrite Control 2.

@FocusriteHelp

When Scarlett is selected at the input/output of your device, it will take over all audio operations on your computer, including output control. You will need to use the monitor/headphone knob on your Scarlett to control volume.
