It's possible the information required to install the roles and features wasn't installed on the server to begin with. You might try going to Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel, then adding Windows Features. It may ask you to insert the Windows Server disk, and then you should have the ability to install all these things assuming you are running a version of Windows Server above Essentials or Fundamentals, because these versions have a limited number of features.
Hey there, great video! I am trying to set up an IIS to utilize a web service I have created in c#. I can't seem to find anything anywhere regarding this. I want it to be accessible to the outside world. Do you have any idea how to accomplish this? Is there just some checkbox I am missing somewhere? I am using Windows 7 Professional and have IIS installed.
Server manager is installed with Windows Server. You are running a version of Windows Server, right? Server manager isn't installed on Windows XP/Vista/7/8.
Is there a way to set it so the Basic Authentication will prompt everytime you re-connect to the localhost? At present after the first time you enter your Credentials in it will no longer ask you for them,

No, this server is for hosting your own web page, so you will only be able to see your web page (or any other web page hosted on your network) without Internet service. Correct me if i am wrong.
