This is what it looked like when 5 year old me brought my big a$$ playhouse inside. Y'know the plastic ones that kind of go together like a puzzle? 😂😂😂😂
You must be so incredibly proud of yourself! I'm proud of you and I don't even know you personally. Lol. The last few years have turned your world around. School, college, your fish. Man, life is good
That looks like something straight out of an aquarium! Like the clear glass containers they keep sting rays in or something for you to pet! I wonder what your gonna put in that 🤔
Eventually, Luke should just flood his basement and just go scuba diving with his goldfish army. Like that guy that has an eel pit with gars and sturgeons.
Just a little tip for anyone needing to take a door off the hinges, don’t actually unscrew the hinge just tap out the pin that holds the two hinge plates together, it’s a lot quicker and easier.
I had the same exact rubbermaid. Had to take mine down due to contamenated well. Couldnt afford water changes for that large of tank anymore. I had to switch to RO that i treat to bring PH. Kh, GH, where i need.
Your wife must REALLY love you! I would NEVER let my hubby put that in my house! I can see WAY too many accidents... a plays in it... a buddy has 1 too many and trips into it, breaking the edge... NO WAY!!! Garage, yes. Basement, hard no.
I would recommend putting in gravel to make it look more beautiful and also put in any goldfish that have long fins and tails such as Comets or Shubunkins (or any goldfish breed you own have the trait) as they look amazing from the top. Makes you think they are flying through the water
Once those top sitting plants really get established they'll filter the water like crazy. All the ammonia and nitrates will be plant food, especially so because the plants can access the atmospheric carbon not just whats in the water.
this needs more likes. but Luke I hope you learned your lesson next time do some measuring First 😂 or get a friend to help you when carrying it it's not heavy but Big so with 2 people it's easier to meanvure without damafi the Walls. now I'd like to say Pivot!!
Do you have any dehumidifiers or what do you do to prevent mold, I’ve never had tanks like yours but I’d imagine the humidity gets raised quite a bit in that room
Oh, and I recommend putting your pond and other floor tanks on some sort of insulation. Even a towel barrier or something. This will drastically reduce your heat loss through the concrete floor contact. Multiplied by all the tanks you have, it would save on your power bill quite a bit, I imagine. I recommend the neoprene self-leveling mat. It's thin, and great bottom insulation.
Luke is have the weirdest idea. How about modifying a cow milking machine ore something like this for draining multiple tank a once .....😅 juste thinking a way to reduce your work load...
Luke remember my promise about tilapia eating your allegy for you put them in an empty tank because if you put them in the big tub they will eat absolutely everything
I know it's unnecessary worry, but is the light properly supported? I don't want to imagine it falling and then harming the fish :( also electricity + water not a good idea
