I do the same, write things down, then procrastinate on actually completing them. Great video. 😊

Excellent, Mae! Thank you! When you talked about procrastinating carrying out a particular task, and how you'll start to build a resistance to completing the task......that's exactly what I do. And the longer I procrastinate, the stronger the resistance becomes. Your approach to these kinds of issues is gentle, and no-nonsense. I'm so happy I found your channel. By the way, you sound European. German, maybe?

Wow! You've got a great ear! I'm Dutch :). I'm all too familiar with the procrastination and how it builds. That's why I'm trying this new method, just trying to figure it out myself. I hope you've been well!

@@thelostteacup I've had some depression, lately. Trying to deal with it as best I can. Thank you for asking. My mother was German and I was born in Germany (a long time ago). Anyway, You're so dedicated to overcoming your issues, it's a huge help to me to see your practical and gentle approach. Take care.

I love this so much.... One comment on tracking books you read, from personal experience, journaling about the ideas in those books might blow open doors and lead to the kind of creative self-actualization that will allow you to achieve your vision. I always make room for writing about reading for the ideas, and it has been so useful throughout my life, and so this year I've backed off my "quantity of books read" goals and am focusing more on journaling what I learn from them (which has the added benefit of depending on the context of where you are at any one moment in time of your lovely life timeline). As a side note, I went to middle and high school in Rome, Italy, so I LOVE your vision, but more than that, I love the clarity of your dashboard and how you use it to focus your decisions. So happy to meet you and subscribe :).

What a great way to take reading into your journaling. I'm not at all opposed to that, I sometimes copy quotes and such into my journal. What I meant was more that I don't want tracking my reading to be part of my planner routine, because it might put me off it when it becomes too much work. How wonderful that you went to school in Rome! I moved to Italy a year ago, and I find the people so welcoming and patient. It's really great.

I don't recall if you've shared anything re: your to-do list? (Where you do it/how you do it, etc.) I tend to overcomplicate that and it makes my system come to a screeching halt. I wonder if you just have a system or just do it. I really like your implementation of the 12 week year and use of the Weeks.

So, I have a running to do list of things that aren't time sensitive, and a daily list of mostly work tasks, that already have an expected due date. Every week, I check my running list to see if anything has become time sensitive, and if so, I put it in my schedule on my weekly spread. On top of that, I work on these tasks during my focusmate sessions sometimes, but I haven't been doing those the past few weeks😅. But generally, the point of my running list is so I don't have to look at it every day and get overwhelmed. My daily list usually only has 3 things, sometimes 4, so it keeps things simple.

@@thelostteacup I went to 3 at a time on my daily list a while ago too. Very helpful. And Thanks.

I love the color of ink you’re using - what is it? It’s a lovely balance.

Hey, you mean the ink on the Dashboard? It's called autumn forest, by Dominant Industry. I got it from Jetpens. It does have some pearlescent powder in it, which clogged my pen once, but haven't had any trouble since :).
