Setting up a Govee Smart Plug 

I purchased the H5075 and H5074 thermo hygrometers a while back but had not gotten around to testing them until tonight. I can confirm, that when paired with a plug and gateway both can trigger based on humidity. I cannot however confirm if they are accurate when it comes to humidity. This was one of the first things I tried to do but my thermo hygromiters would not show up as triggers. I asked Govee support this question, and it sounds like most of their thermometers do not support triggers, they did specifically say that the H5075 thermometer would support this feature via automation but I've not tested it yet. You may be better off going with an INKbird controller InkBird makes wifi enabled temperature controllers that not only have a built-in thermometer but also have dual plugs so you can both trigger heating and cooling. The H5100 thermo hygrometers do NOT support automation so will not work.

Sounds like your saying that the smart plug turns on and off but the attached lamp stays off. First thing i would do its plug in an always on night light and check to see if that turns on and off with the smaller plug by pressing the button on the smart plug. Both the blue led on the smart plug and the always on night light should come on at the same time. Another thing to check is that the metal plugs on the lamp are clean and shiny if they have any build up / discoloration/ paint / tape on them then that could cause problems. If the plug only fits loosely into the smart plug then it could be that the plug on the lamp is not making good contact.

You should be able to get into pairing mode by holding the power for approximately 6 seconds until it flashes between colors.

Ya i tried that, i even held them both for longer and nothing happened... its all good, I ended up just using my old google home device list which had the plugs already registered

From my experience Govee devices are blue tooth first then Wi-Fi . I believe these devices also support being a distributed Wi-Fi gateway for some blue tooth only devices . With that said I’ve not played with these in a bit so I can’t give a definitive answer right now.
