RU-vid idea: I'd love to see how you set up your prints and pictures on your walls! I want to start doing it as well but don't know how to do it exactly!
I like how you use different stationary/themes for each spread. It’s a great way to use up what you already have, and it takes off the pressure of finding the one right theme.
I was having a rotten day, and this gave me a good chance to sit down with some tea and relax for a while. It's helped me feel a little bit more calm, so thank you! ♥ I really like all of the spreads myself, I think the delicate yet confident layouts turned out nice! Some possible future spread ideas: a misty morning in a digital forest; prehistoric night forest, filled with insects and ferns; a bioluminescent deep-sea theme; vintage music; or a bullet-journal theme, somehow!
this new setup is so gorgeous!! i always love seeing your creative ideas at the start of new journals and new months, can’t wait to see what you do in this new notebook!
I insert printed pages to save time and reduce physical strain. I do 6 month calenders per page dated the way the "original" bullet journal wants (just the date and letter for the day down the left), and right in my medical appointments. I tend to note the changes in a specific color below since those days tend to be blank. That way I can skim down through since the last appointment for changes by other doctors, note when I finally get a new or changed medication, etc. I make it front and back so I can keep it as long as needed for the beginning of the next year until I can be sure all doctors are updated. (This is why I hate different doctors having to prescribe meds rather than just one, but what can you do.) The physical issues have me reducing everything I carry as well, so using as little as possible is necessary. I can use 1 composition notebook in dot grid for 1 or 2 years depending on my spreads. I got 3 years in one when I could do 2 weeks per page leaving a column in between for to do and notes. It saved a lot of time on layouts when I wasn't as dependent on my planner. Weekly tasks had a checkbox on its side of the column so I had one list and easily see the completed tasks for that week. Now I work to make sure I can get 1 year in the notebook, have a long term binder at home for everything I don't have to have with me (not like I need to remember when I last cleaned my furnace filter while I'm sitting in the office), and a digital planner for things I need that would create a bigger amount of weight to carry like my office binder that tends to be a 2-3 inch binder of tax info. I get asked for copies of tables from the amendable years at least once a season and use them myself more than once. It is faster than using the federal website. Now I use notion to house that info and ease my load. It also means more notes on clients in progress since it is password protected, and I get calls during off hours regarding work. I have started a kanban page to show the status of projects as of the last day of the month. It gives me a visual progress with me while leaving the more worked out project plans in the home binder. I put the steps I want to complete on my tasks each week. Since my end of month page shows which steps are in which column, it gives me the guide while not every detail. Bought materials is enough where the main project has the full details, or need to buy list just being the remaining materials so it doesn't have checked off pieces. I do have home printed stickers for books. I have currently reading and finished reading with stars to fill in. I am thinking about altering the currently to have a progress bar I can use during the week so I don't have it spread across the week. Though it would be duplicating since I block off my reading time. I just don't want to have to check each day of my timed weeklies to see it. My work shifts get noted on the first 1/2 hour block since that is the open the office prep time leaving the other blocks open for marking client appointments per time. I put a block across the time with the last name and first initial so it maintains a lot of the privacy while showing me how busy I was during my shift. It makes me feel more willing to accept my limits when I am too tired to function in the evening after work.
I will change my A5 reading journal into a travel size, i find out that my reviews are quite small so I don't need that much space. I however had no idea the notebook therapy had a size like that! As a notebook instead of a refill one🎉🎉🎉🎉
These spreads were gorgeous Hedda, I really enjoyed watching you create them. I too (like so many others) loved that cat washi tape and hope to see a monthly spread of cats. As you make your own stickers etc, perhaps a summer spread with all those delicious and beautiful summer fruits, one of your gorgeous girls carrying a basket overflowing with fruit could be lovely.
Theme idea: warm colours only, focusing on yellows, oranges and reds, or cool colours only, so greens, emeralds, blues and purples. You could check the tones too, of you like.
I was thinking of making a monthly cover page for my every day journal and yours looks amazing. I especially like the four months future log. Very beautiful.
I loved your new set up of your bullet journal. Your creativity just bursts out onto the screen! Love all the different stationary that you used. I agree that you have to use the Spring stationary because after a long winter Spring feels really new and special. I live in Michigan and Spring is barely here. The flowering trees are just now starting to flower. But the rest of the tress have no leaves on them. It is 7° Celsius today so not very warm! Thank you for a great video. I loved it!❤❤❤
Your spreads are always so beautiful!!! Your creativity astonishes me... although, when you cut off the head of the deer 😱😰 I was shocked 😝 I have a teeny-tiny channel and I completely understand the frustration when one puts out a video and it receives fewer views than expected 😢 but, on the other hand, sometimes a video goes unexpectedly pretty well 😄 A little suggestion of future content: a tutorial on collages, please 🙏 I'm so bad at it 🥺 Thank you!!! ❤
Video idea: I think I would be interested in seeing a video of different spreads that people could try, or maybe a video with more simplistic journaling that doesn’t use too much stationery in a standard a5 lined journal
Can't wait for May and full blast spring! The bunny stickers are really cuteness overload! Lovely setup! Looking forward to see how your May setup will look like!
I adore that cat washi tape you used for the future log. It is so adorable! My favourite spreads are your cover page and the blue ideas spread. Both are very beautiful.
Beautiful set up as always! I particularly liked the layout of the calendar 2025 spread and the lovely cat theme, but I'm always a fan of all the pink too 💗
Re: your book tracker ... I'd keep making the book stickers the same size and adding another page if and when you need it. It will same you time in the long run. 💖🌞🌵😷
All spreads look so beautiful. It was really interesting to see how you set up the same pages the second time. Recently I've also tended to do reading spreads in my life journal because I found new type of tracker, but I kind of not ready to put down my trusty one, so I decided to move it to life journal. I want to ask you how to stop being afraid to move to more expensive and fancy journals because my art is really far from perfect and I feel it should be if I want to use such journals. Would be grateful for any tricks and advices for my unreasonable brain😂
36:19 I don't always have time to list things in my index that I can find easily, like my monthly or future log. But I do list project notes pages... The size of that shelf. The name of that garden center and info that I gathered there. The page where I wrote that recipe. Last time I changed the air filter. 💖🌞🌵😷
I nice long video. Love your work! I prefer to listen to your voice without the piano music in the background, though. It made it hard to focus on what you were saying.
You asked for what I don't like, so doesn't criticize me too harshly... 38:07 and 38:12 it really bothers me (probably a little OCD or perfectionism) that the background is showing through and distracting my eye from her pretty face. I would have stuck her on some sticker paper or maybe just plain paper to make her opaqué, so I could see her pretty face better. But this is your journal, I don't have to live with it. 💖🌞🌵😷
