Spray foam insulating a shipping container. Using a bulldozer to clear a new road Dragging the shipping container into place Tour of the finished container cabin
You probably dont care but does any of you know a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@Romeo Cash I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Yeah the way of editing his videos make it really interesting to watch. I'm sure people who haven't seen the work he's done before would understand quickly what he's trying to do as he explains well and his videos don't lag or anything. Keep up the great work Andrew!!
It looked like the container was placed over a small gully. I would have liked to have seen a shot of the insulation on the underside after dragging it over a thousand feet. Hard to believe only a couple of pieces fell off? Also, like many other viewers, I am mesmerized by Andrew's skill and imagination! And if all else fails, he can always have a career as a videographer! Really impressive camera work and editing! lol
Sometimes you just have to do what the customer asks you to do. You can try to do right by the customer, but if you're not the project manager setting the schedule of tasks, you don't get much say in the order of operation.
For one man, you sure get a crap load of stuff done. If you lived near me, you would be my first call if I needed something done, that I could not do. The proverbial, Jack of all trades, get'er done dude. Well done Sir.
@@NeogenicOrg Not just that, he knows how to use it, has a good technical mind, tons of common sense and is not afraid to try things. Not just equipment as you said.
I figured they had a sled of some kind to help it skid or maybe wheel along behind the dozer. I guess not. But if there's a company that does this, these container homes, they should consider fab'ing a couple of pieces that the "front" and "back" could sort of ride on, if for nothing more than to ease or reduce dragging friction, and help protect the underside against damage.
Wasn´t there a pair of half-trailers, that should go under the container for moving? Rubbed off insulation came instantly to my mind,too... And I expected some locally poured foundations, they made some lifts out of collected stones, from what you can see in the end... But it held up a whole year by now, then it will work! :-D
Yes, that dragging was primitive sh***t for shizzle. Andrew is a super-smart man, but sometimes contrary to his abilities and skills his action are the dumbest you will ever see.
True grit, and American spirit, that man with the walking stick, who got stuck in helping to push the container over, just hung up the stick and got stuck in, hats off to that man. All the best from the UK.
My customers and I watch your videos daily. I own a Barbershop, we all enjoy how well you operate your equipment. I am located in west central Georgia.
Why all the downvotes for this video. It's a great one-day push for a simple cabin that seems like a very ecologically smart approach... I think I'd have finished it and mounted temp wheels on 4 corners, but that's a big investment and dragging got it done obviously. Kudos for not posting the video until you went back a year later to see the finished product.
I used to cut trees then dig the roots out till Andrew taught me it's easier to push the trees over the cut the roots. I've taught this practice to others. Thanks Andrew
Just 11k to go until you reach 1 million subscribers. It will take appr. 5 days to reach that. Thanks Andrew, .... the way you reached this number of subs shows that quality doesn't need begging. Just you, the works and the dogs.
For these who keep putting a dislike on Andrew's videos do not know what work is all about, you just sit there and wait for your parents to give you money so you don't have to work.
I would love that RU-vid would have the capability of showing the names of the likes and dislikes like FaceBook, but then again, so many people are so chicken shit of putting their real names on their actions and writings...trolls is too light an adjective here...
@@anthonygostling Same here, plus it would be really illogical for them to dislike multiples videos, I mean if you do not like these kind of video, why the hell are you coming back, if you push this a bit more, when you have an idea of the work involved to make the quality videos Andrew makes, and it's dizzling just to think on the amount of times he has to stop working and reset cameras, for us to have a great view point, and resume work, plus the editing, I mean I see crappy videos on other channels, I do not put dislikes, because I know the peoples are trying at least, I use the dislike button on very rare occasions, only when I feel mean people are putting offensive stuff for no reasons...
Why get upset over a dislike? I assume his vids are monetized and even dislikes help out with the YT algorithm thingy. You've never had bad service at a place of business?
Just another day ! You can learn some thing new from every video. No doubt this guy is good at pretty much every thing from excavation to mechanic work and alot more.. Thanks Andrew
Iv watched all Andy’s vids he’s got the winning formula and so informative I’ll done lots of mg own repairs witching his repair vids like step by step talented guy keep up the great work Andy..from the wild hills of north wales u.k. 🏴
When I moved my container I chained the blade to the container and lifted it up a foot then pulled it into position. The container just slid nicely over the ground.
Was the ground as uneven as this wooded setting? It seems the blade would be impossible to rely on as it rollercoasters its way across the forest. Sounds like a better approach though I get the impression that Andrew has done a bunch of these and realizes this works fine - all things considered.
Always a pleasure watching Andrew do the improbable, with the impossible in the more unlikely places. Just tell him it can't be done, and 'presto' there it is , all finished.
Really like what you do, how you do it, your editing, time management , everything you do. Spending hours just watching you! Thank you for sharing putting in the extra time. Love you castle as well
Looks good, all the comforts of home with out the hustle and bustle of the city. You have a beuatiful canopy of trees and brush overhead. Great place to spend some time. Yourr video is fantastic also. Thank you.
Watching that container get dragged through the woods I was skeptical. Finished project seems like a nice getaway and owners seem happy so that’s a great end result. Thanks for sharing!
If you had to move those things often, I would imagine rigging up some kind of wheels to go on each end might prove fairly useful. When I installed sheds built offsite, we rolled everything around on pipes and with digging bars; it worked fairly well, but I took the end of my ring finger off when I was pulling a pipe out from under a set building and jammed it between the pipe and the tree right behind me I didn't think about.
I think this is a good example of how a single 40' high cube container is one of the most economical ways to do this since it really simplifies construction and delivery. No need to build a roof over multiple containers or connect using different materials. Thanks for the awesome video!
I have unloaded hundreds of times when the ramps do not go down all the way, Its not really that big of a deal. The ground is to high in that location...
What a great place to live - thanks in so many ways to you. It's what I'd love for myself. Great video of the entire jpurney as always, thanks a ton Andrew!
Hey Andrew, it's great you put that extra steel on the Cat for protection, but you should weld some sort of heavy duty screen as a roof this way no branches fall through and spear your family jewels.
Or spear him in the head. I've seen videos where guys running feller/bunchers have had falling branches puncture the bulletproof glass they use for their overhead window. And thats some thick, strong stuff.
Good to see a video of you using the dozer finally! Might want to mention to him about using the stream for power, like a one wire chevy alternator and make some paddles bolt onto pulley and bam free power!
Nice job but it seems counter productive to spray foam on the bottom and then drag it that far causing damage to the foam. I was impressed how well the lil D4 ate those bigger trees up.
Yeah. Investing in a dolly of some kind or a skid system would have helped preserve the bottom. Better, would be to get it nearer the site, tilt it and spray there.
@@robj2704 - The foam truck runs a pump and has to be close by, I'm guessing they didn't want to risk getting it stuck or something. Or maybe it was too awkward to tip over on site.
I get the idea when something needs to be done in that area and NOONE wants to tackle it or can figure out how to do it. Who do they call, Senor Camarata. That tipping the container onto the tires went way more smoothly than I would have guessed, I figured bending the container because that guy has it so chopped up with all those cutouts. Another great job.
Great video as usual, but I was thinking about the spray foam on the bottom, how hard would it be to rig up a steerable removable dolly wheel setup front and rear? It would save you time dragging around trees and it would be able to be used over and over on different containers. I bet you could weld or bolt one together in an afternoon. Cheers Tom
Outstanding job Andrew from start to finish location👍 nice location, and the interior makeover is a WOW factor. That CAT dozer was an amazing machine! Just hope you didn't loose a lot of the spray insulation when dragging the container. HI LEVI 🤗
Andrew, I love that your videos show every aspect of your work. Very few youtubers show the good with bad. Ive learned so much from you.. thanks for continuing to provide great videos.
Great video! Had me on the edge a few times! I was helping to tip it back up! Thanks so much to the owner for sharing his project with us. You the man Andrew!
Love your work and your videos are professional like the work you do. Only haters will dislike your work but that's a good thing that's how you know you're good.
Amazing job. You have balls of steel but you have truly enlightened me. I appreciate it so much. You know in your heart there are good people all over the world but sadly our media shows none of it unless they want to shove a narrative down our throats. Really really awesome. Thank you!
With the amount of work you have done with shipping containers, you should build a couple of wheeled or skidded axles that you could attach to them to make moving them through the forest easier. Your fabrication skills are obviously up to the job.
Next container move time to build a front wheel system for mobility at the castle . Would be at least a 3 part series . My grandson and I love Levi . Great program this week thanks again.
Thanks for taking the time to post this ! It takes some effort on your part to do this and I for one appreciate it greatly. I showed my wife the video, we may do something like this for a getaway cabin.
