This was excellent. Even though the FPP UI looks totally different now in 2022, I was still able to get a Virtual Matrix running to a PI 4 and a new projector from this very clear video. Thanks so much!
@@panelsrus Just one additional thought. After I sent comment I was playing around with a projector to display the AtmosFX Virtual Santa and I had to use a matrix setting of 270 X 480 to get the resolution less pixelated. If you create a future video, it would be nice if you could cover the pros and cons of getting more dense on the matrix. I did see a some video glitches above that setting using ethernet. Also, you could provide amazon affiliate links to projectors like youtuber 'The Hook Up' does to generate additional income. I picked up a projector for 200USD based upon his recommendation. I ran my xLights tree hardwired to my Mac laptop through and open window. I was so pumped that I got it to work. This year I want to run it off of a Raspberry Pi and not have my window open. I have the Pi, but I do not know how to load my sequence onto the Pi.
Thanks for the nice tutorial, really appreciated. I have done the same and it is working fine in live, but when I ma creating a sequnec and uploading to pi then screen is splited from 40-60%
How would I use vixen or xlights to control a arduino thru fpp? I am guessing I use multiverse as a input and serial data as a out. The arduino works great, it accepts serial data from vixen to run my pixels. My question is how would I control this with vixen or xlights? I am having great trouble trying to set this up.
Hi Gregg, thank you for the nice video. Im using a dedicated laptop for my show and I dont use FPP and raspberry pi. Can i connect the tv directly to my laptop or do i need a separate PI to run the TV. Thanks.
hi gregg ive tried setting up pi as you did but the default display doesnt go black when restarted why would this be, is there something i havent changed in another setting.

Help me solve my problem. My virtual matrix is 270 * 480 which is rounded up to 254 universes. On the channel input when I put 254 there's an error message that says maximum is 250. What do I do in this instance?
