I like how I've gotten destroyed by a version of almost every build I see you do. The game has gotten significantly better and varied since launch

I saw Yan Chen on the thumbnail and I clicked as fast as I could. Heptastar is my favorite sect and I really like this poison deck.

Yeah, it's mine too. I honestly always find it hard to wrap my head around the different elements and Cloud Sword is fun but doesn't have as much unique builds imo.

Upgrading the card did matter I think. The upgrade gave you +1 cul which let you go fist.

Oh, yeah I knew it could matter for cultivation, at that point I said that I just meant for raw damage in a vacuum.

Thanks to your videos I recently started playing this game myself! It's a blast even if it makes my head hurt from all the thinking. Seeing your skill at the game combined with all the fun and clever builds is a real treat, hope to see more!

Weirdly the recap at 32:10 has the speed tie resolve in the opposite way to the actual fight and some of the other recaps, which would be why it went more successfully than you expected.

Yeah, I was gonna say that - the one where he flipped the cards around only won because they had equivalent cultivation, and all the RNG is calculated again in the recap. Which is kinda fun for stuff like 'if they didn't highroll a 10% chase, or a guard up, would I have won' but confusing for testing out small changes such as in this case, because you have double check who went first in order to properly compare the results.

Hell yeah! Loving another video, and I'm excited to see your build! Also, unironically - I'm curious if you've ever tried a Carefree Tune build and I'd love to see you try it. Maybe not on ranked, but it definitely seems like a fun and wacky build to try out

carefree tune isn't as much a build as it is _possibly_ early game cheese at best, if you manage to have a lategame build with carefree tune your lobby is griefing lol. It could maybe work with the legendary Return to Simplicity card from the new faction, but the odds of you getting it are _extremely_ low.

I tried a Carefree Tune + Back to Simplicity build. It did pretty well and all. I was very lucky with the RNG. But then I got the evil rabbit card, and I had lv3 Simplicity, while only lv2 Carefree Tune. So I had to choose, right? In the end, it became Simplicity build, bcs Rabbit+Simplicity is simply faster than Simplicity+Carefree tune 😂 Got 2nd in the lobby. It was pretty powerful Actually, if I had more physique, simplicity+ carefree tune is better, bcs Agility. But I had low physique, and by the time I had enough physique to basically chase all the time, I already absorbed carefree tune

Mu Hu (the tiger) can actually play carefree tune all the way until phase 5, because his fates give him a ton of extra HP. Musician tiger was actually sort of popular towards the end of last season. Unfortunately, musician doesn't really help him with his typical earth build, so once you break through to phase 5 the best thing to go for is generally mono water. Surreal Memoir has a good video of playing Carefree Tiger.

Replay takeover is such a powerful tool as you've been exemplifying and one that me as a fighting game player has really come to value.

I think the main reason having the Extremely Suspicious earlier was better is that it adds an extra round before the transfer, but obviously the Within Reach is a 1:2 conversion of debuffs to damage so it just scales so much with any more stacks before it. It does make sense to have it last as an "assurance" though in case the big attack isn't big enough.

This game is absolutely ridiculous with the combo potential and I love it. Today I did my first ranked game, expecting to get absolutely destroyed and ended up with a two card loop. 2 continuous cards + the card that skips the next 3 cards with chase + cloud hit 4 atk for scaling + 1 multi hit card with chase

One of the builds I tend to have most difficulty dealing with, thankfully the few times I've seen it someone else beat it or I'm running something that scales even faster (unrestrained sword is funny)
