I love this build. It's really sweet and super cool - it's something similar to what Yan Chen used to do and it's just super fun if you can pull it off without killing yourself first 😂

Yeah, it is a really interesting build, and has a bit more flexibility than similar ones. I don't know if it is anywhere near reliable, but I'd love seeing it over the other board this faction runs, and I mean other board singular because apparently people don't think another exists lol.

Great game! A note a about using rerolls. As per the recent FAQ in the game notes, when you reroll a card, it removes 2 of that card from your card pool. There are 8 of each card in there. So don't waste a reroll on cards like unceasing exercise.

The musician version makes heavy heavy use of as many concentric tunes as possible to apply heartbroken tune internal injury, with crane footwork to facilitate constant chase - i love this build too

I personally like to use Styx Agility to also give the opponent Decrease Atk stacks with Cocentric Tune, which alsos buffs Soul Seizing HP steal. Plus with musician we can highroll Chord in Tune into Predicament for Immortals which just breaks chase decks.

One additional thing: Elusive Footwork can often be treated as the equivalent of cita dharma (+1 qi every turn) and thus can fully replace cards like Gale Shadow Claw

Especially with Double Trouble shortly after to inflict Internal Injury on yourself so that you're generating qi on every one of your own turns. "I can't afford to take Gale Shadow Claw out" he says, while winning rounds 10 and 11 with 9 and 11 qi.

The reason why you can play cards without enough Qi is that you took the ability to use hp and physic when you don’t have enough Qi

You have to try this deck with musician. They get a card that adds an internal injure to both players every turn, letting them get huge amounts of debuffs on themselves. They actually had to nerf soul seizing because it was stealing twenty to thirty HP on the first round of combat. I have played so much of this deck, it feels great every time.

This was a great run with a tough character. Would like to see more of this character/clan. For those of us that don't remember all the intricacies, a little more explanation or reminders of how things work now and then would be great

The nerf to soul seizing (capped bonus damage) hurt this deck type quite bad. I still like running it, but most of the early cards are fairly bad.

Another way to get full chase in debuff, is to use elusive footwork with echo formation and Styx agility, you just get an absurd amount of agility, and the attack down from Styx can be used to cripple most opponents. Seriously Xiao Bu has a lot of ways to make debuff absolutely busted.

I love to stack decrease ATK with styx and give it all to the enemy through soul cleaving and the musician card, since soul seizing doesnt care about decrease atk you still deal 40+ damage + debuff per turn its insane

I actually was trying for this type of build yesterday with the other dude. Generally, I found that you have to get very specific cards to really excel (one of which is musician only and another is a treasure), but extremely fun if you get it.

Side Note: Both of the builds I had work had at most 1 attack card (0 if you don't count Soul Seizing) and generally more stall-ish in nature. I relied heavily on internal injury on both myself and/or my opponent to succeed. Also, the Styx 1 attack decrease, 10 agility is great for the musician/apply stuff to opponent builds.

There is that 10 Agility, Attack down debuff card you can run, which can allow you to chase you dont necessarily need Rabbit.

The successful witch-Bu's I've witnessed often enough ran Musician specifically for two cards; Heartbroken Tune, applying internal injury to both sides; and Concentric Tune, which copies all of your debuffs to the opponent. Results vary. It's not often a fast build, so it can be outdamaged.

I usually do this build with the continuous card that gibes agility and ki when you receive damage for the first time in the turn, poison proc this effect every turn so you get a lot o agility getting chase almost every time it's possible. So i use the card that heals in % and heathbreal tune and the game turn into who can survive for the most time

I think the card should be slowed a little, maybe make it so that it has entangled to self and reduce it with upgrades? Would that make it a balanced card?

eh, it is an extremely rare card, you'll probably get it one in like 50 games, (this was my first time getting it in 1.0 and I've played a lot off camera) so you're definitely not getting an _upgraded_ version. This was an exceptionally perfect deck for it since it has _zero_ chase cards. I think it is probably fine, if any nerf it would be like 12 self damage instead or something.
