Is your MH's fresh water connection in the same compartment as your sewer hose, sewer hose storage compartment, and sewer hose outlet on your MH?
@lessieh1050
@lessieh1050 Год назад
No! Maybe on the same side or even same bay of the rv as the sewage connection, but fresh water has a completely different water connection. You should also used completely different hoses, ie fresh water hose and sewage hose… keeps you healthy. 😛.

I was told to hook up the surge protector b4 going thru the trouble of backing in and leveling just in case the electric isn’t good!
@GratefulGlamper

We’ve not ever had a campsite where the electric was an issue. (I’m 5 years of RVing). Since our motorhome is large we always park at our site first.
@lessieh1050
@lessieh1050 Год назад
Tis a good idea to do. We’ve had a few none working pedestals in our 8 years fulltiming.. No big deal if we had to move 😝.. but we often do the surge protection hookup and check while the diesel engine is cooling down and if good, then dump air bags, level rv and shut down engine. 🤗

Is it preferable to keep the sewer line open or drain and then close? Would one want to drain the sewer and gray behind, right, for optimal flush effect.

Chuckles, for us, we do different jobs. While hubby checks and does hookups, I’m setting up the inside for living, writing down the mileage/engine/fuel info for our records, watching the tachometer to reach shutoff, then shutting down engine, etc. By us doing the same jobs every time, we get set up or broken down with ease.🙂. And yes, we know how to do each other jobs🤣…

Your Fleetwood should already have a built in surge protection you don’t need two. Waste of money people don’t understand electricity.
@GratefulGlamper
@GratefulGlamper 2 года назад
Ours doesn’t not have a built in one as it’s a 2004 model. We’ve spoken directly with Fleetwood and the ones on the new units protect against low voltage and reverse polarity but do not protect against lightning strikes, etc. In FL we wouldn’t be with out it.

You're wasting money on water pressure regulators and kinda on the surge protector that's what a ground is for besides electronics but you only need for them and not the whole system but you really don't need a water pressure regulator at all that's a waste of money and if they told I needed that I wouldn't buy that RV it's just gimmick though
@brucefranklin6765
@brucefranklin6765 Год назад
It’s not just a “surge” protector. It also guards against drops in voltage also. Campgrounds are notorious for having bad pedestals to plug into.
