Setting up effective low stress rooms for cats in shelters & homes. One of the best ways to reduce fear & stress in cats in shelters, is properly setting up a cat room in the most effective & comprehensive way. In this video we will show you three different rooms that we have set up; a large room, a medium room & a small small room.
.
We will show you how to effectively use the space that you have & provide the least stressful environment for your cats. As we all know, stress is the number one factor when it comes to cats getting sick in shelters. So let’s set them up for success, reduce their fear & stress & in turn, increase their chances for a successful adoption.

What a wonderful video!! Great ideas! I'd love for my own local shelter to adopt such great ideas! Do the cats also get access to silent time, separate from music and audio, sometimes? So their nervous systems can decompress without constant stimulus. Your shelter has likely already considered this though. Many blessings to you all in your good work!

Hi- They do get silent time & lights out. Silence for at least 12 hours of the day, beyond possible barking dogs 😫 Thanks so much for the comment!

Great ideas, but surprised to see so many hanging electrical cords.you could cut pvc tube in half, attach to wall over long cords.

I can understand that concern. Honestly, we have never had an issue. But we recently switched all our TV's/DVD players for Pet Acoustics Music boxes; so way less cords. Valid concern!
