there are so many programs given away free tablets and phones if you are on any government assistance or have a child receiving government assistance #lifeline #freephone #afforadable
I liked the tablets, although I have a Amazon fire tablet and a I pad but can’t leave the Wi-Fi and still surf the web. So the 10.00 tablet I can hand the children on the go was and is awesome
This phone has 2GB RAM and 16GB on board space. It also accepts micro SD cards up to 512GB so you can expand the memory by telling your camera to save photos and videos taken to the micro SD card, or in the manage files app you can move documents, photos, and other files to the external memory to save more space. A lot of the newer USB C Android phones don't have this feature any more.
If you live in California.Get the assurance 4g smart government free phone.Unlimted free internet.I had the Tru phone.I had to wait a couple of days after using all my data before they add more.
Most Android devices have OTG support. You need an OTG adapter. The Cloud Stratus C5 has a micro USB connector. When you plug in the OTG cable, pull down the notification tab by swiping down from the top of screen. Click on USB connection. You might have to enter on the device that you want it to switch from charging to transferring data to another device.
Mines messed up 2 weeks later..My volume and all the settings would switch back to the opposite to what ever I set it to as I'm looking at it over n over so I bought a unlocked phone and used the sim.
That's not fair u got a case I didn't even get one I'm using this government phone cause my mom got it and gave it to my dad and he got a new phone and gave it to me I don't think he got a phone case cause I want one like any if u could helpe thank you
@@Enochulate88 she is talking about the new USB C port. This phone uses a micro USB port. It just means that the new USB C port can connect to computers that have a USB C port. If you have a new computer that does not support the micro USB, it just means you need a micro USB to USB C adapter to connect to it. No biggie. You can get those anywhere. USB C ports also allow the cellphone to charge faster with a faster charger. Just remember that if you always charge your phone with a faster charger that the battery on the phone will not last as long as if you charged it at a slower pace. Why? because faster chargers heat up the battery causing it to expand over time. When it expands it wears out the battery over time. Sales people will tell you that the transfer speed is faster on a USB C device then a micro USB device, which is true, but in reality only by a few tens of seconds, which doesn't really matter to most people
@@HelenSharita well my safelink phone I had a while back had took a crap on my it no longer works. So there goes SafeLink. I know these government phones aren't the best but it's better then nothing but I went back to qlink cause it seems to work better to me but some people are like try out truconnect. So which one is better out of those two? Qlink or truconnect?
I had cricket, and I got this phone free, the porting my original number took about a week, cause they'll send you a new sim card for that. The difficulty about porting my # was from cricket. This phone is just as good as cricket service. No issues what so ever.
That's good to know that Cricket uses this phone. It is a dual SIM card phone so you could qualify for 2 different Lifeline service SIM cards and insert it in this phone. Then you can have one number for family and friends and another number that goes to voicemail
@@HelenSharita the sim card is in the phone I'd have to crack open the phone I wanna make calls on a phone with my wifi modem it says cellular network not available connect to a wireless network to make a call . Can't I download an app not a shitty app that works today n not tomorrow can I make calls through my wifi modem?
@@HelenSharita btw the phone was on n working free from government but xgirl my daughter mother who left without notice to us took all out info n found out my daughter at 7 yrs old had 5 credit cards maxed out by 12 yrs old n my bills werent being paid wen she was allowed to pay them online she's a drug addict human beg bug n etc
@@HelenSharita so my truconnect life line phone was on had a number had a phone in IT certificate did the stupid university math degree nothing but debt but the policy is if someone applied in my name in another phone place they shut off mine doesn't it seem they should not let someone get a phone if they already have one not shut the first one off n put new one on n truconnect says they don't know wat company it is from isn't that some bullshit
Yeah, its a cheap and somewhat nasty phone, but honestly? For being a “free” phone? Not bad... Its more of a “cellular phone contract” with a bonus mobile phone tossed in. But hey, whatever!
@@HelenSharita Surprisingly this phone even has usb otg and an easily unlockable bootloader! Mine has a dead touchscreen digitizer though. Besides that, its going to be used for word processing and web browsing.
I forgot to mention, I got mine from a flea market that was in a 5 device lot. $50 for all the devices. So that means I bought this phone for $10. Yeah, that was a pretty bad deal, but the other devices partially make up for it. Edit: It was actually a fairly decent deal.
5G is not supported in every area. Even if you have 5G service, an area that is not supported will use 4G or 4GLTE or 3G or 2G service. The Wireless Carrier just doesn't call it 2G, 3G, or 4G/LTE service anymore.. They have different names for it now. Basically, you are paying for 5G service but using less than 5G service in areas that doesn't support full blown 5G connections.
Good question, but you get a number based on your zip code to provide an area code then you can find your number in settings. Does that answer your question?
Well If you didn't really need the phone, then why did you take it? I'm pretty sure there's other elderly or homeless people that could've used them. And I know you said, well give it to your child. Kid's are hard on phones, and also careless with them so odds are they'll ending up losing them or damaging them. Just because a lot of electronics are free from the government doesn't mean you have to take it. And put a battery in that smoke alarm!!!!
Don’t be rude it’s never what u say it’s how u say it. First off it wasn’t as if they were handing them out and I got in the way of someone else receiving it. U have to actually qualify. ( talk what u know not assume) and my battery was changed, that much u knew. It costs nothing to be polite
@@HelenSharita true, but we also need to remember that words in writing don't have a tone, until we the reader add a tone to it. I'm sure Eric didn't mean to sound condescending. It's just his opinion. This video was very informative. As you can tell, a lot of viewers got some good information from your experience. And I thought it very nice of you to be around to answer peoples comments. Not a lot of creators do that. Keep up the great work.
Oh no definitely have to go with another company thanks for the review. I put in the comments as well the battery life shucks, but I understand it's FREE I've switched to another provider. "Qlink Wireless" my Dad had "SafeLink"
@@HelenSharita Ah, Qlink Wireless has 4GLTE/5G service. Some people have complained they have issues when canceling Qlink service. Also Qlink only supplies a SIM card for service and not a free phone. You have to supply the phone yourself. Qlink piggy backs off of T-Mobile's network
What company did you use? U normally signup with the street team in your area. If u signup online it takes 3-5 days. Here are some companies I’ve used before. Qlink Wireless, Tru Connect, and Excess Telecom ( excess even have tablets)
