SETTING UP THE TEMPORARY BUNNY ROOM! 🐇 

I just moved 19 hours with my sweet girl Melody, and she did amazing. We even took breaks to take a walk on her harness, which we made a pitstop at PetSmart to get and everyone loved her. We are moving into our new house very soon (currently staying with family and she has a temporary playpen she's in, with running around time.) I convinced my dad to build the pens that you had built for them in your old house, and I can't wait for it to get done. I know that she will be extremely happy once she has that pen, as it allows her more space then the playpen she's in. But you have taught me so much about bunny care. We lost her sister a month ago due to a sickness that came on quickly. I've slowly am getting better, I still have sadder days where I miss her dearly but I know she is happier where she is. Melody hasn't even minded the fact she's gone. They didn't always get along, but they did love giving each other completely. But I am extremely happy about her new pen that is soon to be built in our basement, I don't think I am adding the second level because it's one bunny.

Thanks for the idea to use a Shop vac to vacuum up hay!! I sadly destroyed my regular house vacuum trying to pick up my bunny's hay over the first year I had him 😢 The shop vac I got recently was a great investment!! I highly recommend for other rabbit owners too 😃

You did really well to get set up so fast. I only have one bunny but she has a pen with 2 x-pens and she loves it. I'll be interested to see what flooring you choose and how your more permanent set up is laid out. That storage space is amazing! Like a linen cupboard just for the bunnies!

I need to get more fleece as my rabbit seems addicted to chewing the puzzle mats and I need to constantly cover all the areas she keeps trying to chew. The one I got was a non-PIL fleece meant for babies. I wanted to only get the non-PIL kind so that she won't ingest any of the fleece material. Is this what you recommend?

I didn't realize they made X-pens so high, is there a certain brand to look for? Also - do you ever worry about the off gassing from the puzzle mats? I would think they might not be good for Bunnies or other ground dwelling pets since the off gassing would be constantly in their breathing space. Thanks :)

Hi, I am considering getting a bunny, and I have a few questions. If I get a bunny that is weened and can eat hay and pellets, when I receive the bunny in my possession, I cannot just buy which ever bunny food right? Do I not need to feed the bunny the same food that the people who raised it did, and then slowly integrate different brands/mixes of foods?

I'm not sure that one room is big enough for your rabbits to roam and get enough stimulation. The place you had them before was much bigger. Are you going to set up an outdoor pen for them too?

I need some help, I took my rabbit to the vet multiple times already and did a bunch of tests that all came up negative. For the past month or 2 maybe even longer my rabbit has had a problem with soft puddling cecotropes I removed kale from her diet and I’m in the process of removing dandelion greens because I don’t know what’s causing it. I tried just hay for a week and that actually seemed to make it worse. I got her the oxbow digestive supplement. I don’t know what to do at this point because I can have brown puddles all over my house. I don’t know what to do and it seems like I’m the only one dealing with this.
