Door against car should fold downwards allowing a skirt to be maintained against windflow under the car and removing bulky roll at top of car door which may impinge on door opening,

Just used mine for a week in the rain...not sure how you’re supposed to use the existing gutter system in the centre with the spreader bar there? There was nothing mentioned in the instructions. I had a LOT of water pooling on the roof. Other than that it was great.

Thanks for your feedback Rachel! You can still use a guy rope to pull out the centre gutter tab the best you can to allow most of the water to run down the closed front door and the rope. Give us a call if you need more help!

Does this fit other brands of 270 awning? I have the bushwakka extreme darkness 270 and would love to add this to my awning.

Has anyone tried this with an OVS 270 awning? They look to be about the same.

Does this fit in any of the other awning bays on a 270? I have a Land Rover Defender 90 so I'd like the Vehicle Access to face the rear of my vehicle.

The Retreat only fits the centre section, as the back wall (closest to vehicle) is supported by the sail track in the awning backing plate. The roof of the Retreat is also designed to fit between the parallel centre arms of the awning and is supported by tabs along each side of the roof that wrap around the arms. And finally, the front spreader bar is also required, and will only fit between the centre awning arms as the other arms end up being too far apart. Hope that helps, Jon!
