How to setup and connect DJI digital FPV System to RadioLink flight controller crossflight/Mini Pix/PIXHAW? Since the setup and connection method is the same for crossflight/Mini Pix/PIXHAWK, take crossflight as an example in the video.
I’ll show the connection first. Here is the power module of crossflight. Connect it to the POWER port.
Here is the RadioLink adapter board which is used to connect DJI digital FPV System and crossflight. It can not only supply power to DJI FPV System, but also transmit the signal. You can buy it from our official store. The purchase link will be available soon.
The adapter board comes with several cables. One cable is soldered on the power module. The other end of the cable is connected to B+, positive pole and GN, ground, on the board to supply power to the FPV System.
(Power module supports 2S-12S battery power input, while DJI air unit supports 2S-6S power input, so you can use 2S-6S battery to connect to the power module.)
Here is another cable comes with the board. Plug one end to the 3 pin connector on the board, and the other end to the telemetry port of crossflight. Both TELE 1 and TELE 2 can work. I connect it to the TELEM1.
Here is DJI FPV air unit. Connect it to the adapter board. Refer to the illustrations on the screen to connect the air unit to the board. (Note: If the cables on the air unit are not soldered, follow the illustrations on the screen to solder the cables) Check the printed words on the board and then connect.
We can see there is also another connector on the board. What is it for? It shows SB, SBUS and GN, ground. The connector is specially for DJI FPV system. There may be built-in receiver in the air unit. When you use DJI transmitters, you can use the built-in receiver to transmit signal to crossflight. We need this cable which comes with the adapter board. Plug one end to RC IN of crossflight, and the other end to the connector here. Then we can use DJI transmitters to work with crossflight. If you do not use DJI transmitters, you can just use the original cable of crossflight to connect the receiver.
After the connection, set parameters in Mission Planner now. Connect crossflight to the computer with a USB cable. Select the right COM PORT. The baud rate is 115,200. Connect. Connected now. Config--Full Parameter List-- We need to search two parameters and set it.
1.search serial1, here is SERIAL1-PROTOCOL. Select DJI FPV. If you connect the adapter board to telem 2 of crossflight, please set SERIAL2-PROTOCOL to DJI FPV. click WRITE PARAMS to save the modification.
2.Search OSD, hyphen, TYPE. Select MSP. Click WRITE PARAMS to save the modification.
You’d better also power off crossflight and re-power it on after the modifications.
The settings of crossflight in Mission Planner is done. Now connect battery to the power module of crossflight, and the DJI air unit will be powered on.
Here is DJI FPV goggles. Power it on. (DJI FPV goggles supports 2S-4S power input)
You must link the air unit and DJI FPV goggles. Check their detailed manual for linking methods or follow the methods on the screen.
The linking is already done. You need to set one parameter on the goggles. Settings-- Display-- Custom OSD. Set it ON. Then we can get OSD in the goggles.
