Video tutorial on how to Setup and Program this Phillips 4 device Remote that has a cradle in the back for your Amazon Fire TV Firestick Remote. This remote uses the CL5 Code list: byjasco.com/su...
Firestick doesn't control with the Infra Red coming from a universal remote. It uses HDMI-CEC. I recently did a video about this very thing. You can check it out here, maybe this will shed some light on it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MndLcR5FfT4.html
I spent about 20min trying to type in code individually, then I tried his auto code approach and boom! First try on the auto code search. Thanks a lot! 5 stars all day for this guy and his channel! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I wore out my fingers typing those dang codes in several times each and they didn’t work on my Samsung tv but luckily I found you and did the search and it works now you rock dude!!! However I can’t get this remote to work the Fire TV tho :( I’ll turn it over I’m from a tough generation ;)
HI. So there is no code for the Fire TV. Those do however work though HDMI-CEC. Some TVs don't have this ability, but most do. If your remote will operate the TV, most likely it'll work with this feature. Here's a video I did on this a while back. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MndLcR5FfT4.html
Yasssss your a life saver now I can return the other control I literaly just ordered before I even thought about searching the web 😂😂 literaly to the point thanks again
Very helpful thanks. Because of the size of my firestick remote it took 20 min just to get the cover on! How do you switch between the tv and firestick remote functions without flipping it back and forth?
HI, there's no way to really do that. However, I've discovered that if your TV has HDMI-CEC control you don't even need the Fire-stick remote. You can use any universal remote to control your firestick as long as it properly works on the TV. I did a video on this a while back: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MndLcR5FfT4.htmlsi=9dSmwQNCUqOwnNhD
Lost the code list that came w this. Been searching the wide ol.internets for hrs. YOU SAVED MY LIFE WITH THIS LIST OF CODES!!! GETTING A HIGE LIKE QND SUB FROM.ME!!! THANKS AGAIN!!
Thank you for such a clear and concise video. My TCL Roku only had 1 code. Each function worked but not the numerical keypad, in which I purchased it for so we could channel jump😟
Aww Man! Sometimes with a smart TV, it's better to have a teachable remote so you can let the remote "Learn" the missing functions like your talking about here..
How can I put Input in I forget how to do it Can you please help me. I would appreciate it very much Thank you for taking time out to show us You have a very good heart You stay safe I give you 10000 thumbs up
HI, do you mean you have a Fire TV that's an actual TV? I don't believe that TV has a RF sensor in the front so you can use a standard universal remote.. However, most Roku devices will pick up what type of TV you're using and will allow you to use the Roku remote to control said TV. I haven't tried to use a Roku device on the Fire TV, so I can't answer for sure, but I have a feeling it'll probably work.
@@JLPicard440 i meant by programming the Philips universal remote to the Amazon Fire tv stick (streaming device), I looked all over online and there’s no fire tv stick codes. There’s no Amazon fire tv codes on my codes manual. My remove model number is SRP2024R/27
Thank you for this video. I have the Fire Stick 4K Max and was hoping this remote would accommodate it. Problem is, when I look at the description on Amazon, it indicates that it does not fit any of the Fire Stick remotes. Any way I can confirm whether these 2 are compatible or not?
HI... I am not sure why Amazon doesn't tell you that their fire TV devices will work with virtually any remote. If your TV has HDMI-CEC capability, which most do, this will allow the Fire Stick to work through the TVs HDMI jack and the code that controls the TV. I use it all the time. Here's a video I did on that very subject. I hope this helps... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MndLcR5FfT4.html
so what buttons on the front side actually work with the firestick? does the menu button and back button etc all work? and do they work without the firestick installed? im curious. thank you
HI, I think this is the one with the fire stick installed on the back of it. The buttons on the Philips remote actually do not work the fire stick at all, you would control the fire stick with the remote on the back. However, you can engage the HDMI-CEC on your TV and you can use the Phillips remote buttons to control the fire stick.. the navigational arrows, back, pause.. etc. IF you do it that way, you won't need the fire stick remote attached to the back. I have a video on CEC control that might help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MndLcR5FfT4.html
@@JLPicard440 thats what i thought but in your video if you re watch it you state some of the front buttons work the firestick remote this is why i asked.
Just purchased this. Great video! Is there any way to get the front dial and/or number up front to work with the fire stick remote. Nothing with the universal remote works along with fire stick.
Yes, If your TV has the ability to control HDMI-CEC you can control the whole thing with the Phillips remote and won't really need the fire stick remote except for "Home" or other speciality buttons. Here's a video I did a while back on that very thing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MndLcR5FfT4.html
Is there a way to turn on 2 devices at once? Like have your tv and soundbar turn on when you hit the power button instead of hitting each device key and power button to turn on each device
No unfortunately not. I have one of those and I can't get any remote to work with it other than the one it came with. The Roku stick uses bluetooth to connect to the factory remote and can't be controlled through the TV's HDMI-CEC like the Fire Stick can...
Yes and no... There are no codes for the Fire Stick. However it can be controlled with any remote that'll control your TV using HDMI-CEC.. Here's a video I did a while back... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MndLcR5FfT4.html Hope that helps. Thanks.
I can program my TV, DVD player and cable individually, but the remote only seems to stay paired to one at a time. For example, I get it paired to TV, works great. Then I do the same pairing setup for cable box, bmcablebox now works but if I go back and press the TV button the remote no longer controls the TV. If I then pair the DVD player that eorks fine, but the remote no longer works for the TV and cable box. I don't have to enter the codes every single time I switch, do I? Anyone have any other ideas?
Hello. Great video for other devices. However, how can I pair Amazon Fire TV stick with the Universal remote? For example, I have IPTV on Amazon stick. I cannot use Fire TV remote to place TV channels on Favorite. The Universal remote I bought is to work with Fire TV stick. Please advise.
I believe the Fire TV stick works on RF only. This remote is IR only and I don't believe it'll work. I recently did a video on a Phillips remote that has a cradle in the back to store the fire TV remote and the buttons on the Phillips remote will pair with the FireTV remote and you don't need two remotes even though the Fire remote is cradled in the back.
Just programmed this. I cannot find a way to change the audio inputs for my Sony audio system. Input button only works for TV, not audio. I switch between “game” setting, where I have my ROKU plugged in, and “line in” for digital antenna. I have to use original Sony remote to change these inputs as I have not found a way to do so with the Philips remote
You're probably right about there not being a way to switch audio inputs. Have you tried all the available codes for Sony just to see if one happens to work with the input button?
HI, you don't really program it to a fire stick... If your TV has HDMI-CEC support you can use that to operate the fire stick through the TV and the TV's HDMI port. I did a video on that a while back: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MndLcR5FfT4.html
Very good! If you still have functions that don't work you might try auto code search to see if it comes up with a better code for you. IF you've got a smart tv these remotes usually will work the basic functions though.
HI. It doesn't look like those buttons are programmable. This isn't a learning remote, meaning it can't accept codes from the original remote to teach buttons. According to the manual, those colored buttons are for "ABCD - Access additional features for DVRs, cable and satellite receivers"
You stated that the directional and select buttons on the front of the remote will control the FireTV Stick, instead of having to flip it over to use the actual FireTV Stick remote control. Bit you don't really elaborate as to how exactly this occurs, because it is clearly not automatic, as my screen just pops up display and channel information because it's programmed to make those buttons control television functions. Yet I can not get it to do this. It seems to me that it isn't actually possible to do this, because as you mentioned the universal remote is IR based, and the FireTV Stick is HDMI-CEC/Bluetooth controlled. If there is a set-up procedure to make it work for the D-pad and select, I would really appreciate it if you could share it. You will certainly gain at least one new subscriber, and I will definitely send the people I interact with online in your channels direction as well.
Yes, the two remotes don't actually interact with each other. When you flip over to use the TV side of it, any Fire stick action is controlled by the HDMI-CEC as long as you've got it setup on your TV. I did a video on that last year..
@@JLPicard440 Yeah, I kind of assumed that to be the case. I have been familiar with HDMI-CEC and how it functions for several years now, because I went through a 5 or 6 year phase when I would only buy Samsung TV's, and DVD/Blue Ray players (yeah yeah I know, I was pretty much paying for a name, that could rarely hold onto a Wi-Fi connection long enough to watch 5 minute skit most days). What peaked my curiosity was the fact that you stated at the beginning of the video that the remote would not actually control any of the functions of the FireTv Stick (thus the built in cradle to hold the actual FireTV Stick), but a couple of minutes later, you said that you didn't know how, but the D-pad and SELECT buttons on the Universal Remote were functioning for the FireTv Stick. I'm thinking maybe you learned about HDMI-CEC functionality roughly 5 minutes after making this video.
HI, it's very easy to google the code for a Phillips 4 device remote. I do usually leave a link in the description as well, but if it's not there, it's easy to google..
LG is a pretty main stream brand. I don't know why you'd be having trouble. I don't believe this is a learning remote. Did you try auto code search? It might hit on a code that'll work.
HI, its either in the book that comes with the remote or you can look them up on the web. I usually leave a link to the codes in the description.. or if it's not there or doesn't work anymore, you can easily look up the codes for a Phillips 4 device remote by googling the codes. Hope that helps.
HI, I usually leave a link in the description to the codes, if it's not there or it doesn't work its just as simple as googling the codes for a Phillips 4 device Fire TV remote.
HI, there's no code for fire TV. However, many TVs are capable of HDMI-CEC and this will control the Fire TV via that mode. I made a video about this a while back. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MndLcR5FfT4.html
HI, I don't remember about this particular one but usually the device button tv, stream, dvd, etc are not tied to the label that's on them. If this one is like that you can program more than 1 TV and use the other device buttons as your other TVs. You can just type in the code for your TV brand onto whichever device button and see if it works is the easiest way.
Hi, if you've already looked in the manual or from their website, those are the same codes I would look at. I usually leave a link to the codes in the description.. did you try that?
HI, I usually leave a link in the description to the codes. If it's not there or the link doesn't work it's easy to goggle the codes for Phillips remote.. Thanks.
