So its an exact copy of the Python? I bought the brass quick release for mine after the plastic threads broke twice.

I tried buying one of these and using it but honestly it was just a bunch of frustration. AND it was so expensive (I am a cheapskate, I like to call myself an improviser, but honestly I just prefer to not spend money and save it instead - but I also don’t like buying cheap stuff which ends up being a waste of money) This drove me NUTS because I have a 75gal tank in my bedroom with a comet and a Shubunkin so I do a LOT of water changes. Another thing is that I have to move that water over 100 feet…. from my bathroom, through my kitchen/laundry area, through my living room, down a short hallway & into my bedroom. Right now the price for a 100 foot water changer is anywhere from $100-150. I paid $130 from Amazon and used it one time before I said to myself there has to be a better way to do this… and that’s when I discovered WATER PUMPS! Lol. I bought a cheap (550gph) water pump on Amazon for about $25. After I got the water pump delivered, I took it with me to Lowe’s and fit the largest adapter to some vinyl tubing that cost $8 for every 25 ft. So I ended up spending $32 for 100ft of tubing. So my total cost was only $57 for everything that I needed…. I sent that Python water changer back to Amazon and got my $130 refunded. It was so difficult trying to hook it to my faucet and it was SLOW as hell to refill my tank. I popped the tubing onto the water pump, put it down in my tank, I used a smaller piece of tubing I already had and drained the tank water right out of my bedroom window. In the summertime I use the longer hose and all of the water goes to my garden and the vegetables grow so well. I had the fattest tomatoes I’ve ever grown this past summer - plus cucumbers, bell peppers, green beans, peas (that I feed my fish), banana peppers, cherry tomatoes, and some other stuff too. It was wonderful. Anyway, after I drained my tank about 80%, I just took the water pump out, stick it in a 5 gallon bucket and take it to my bath tub and fill up the bucket with water, put the pump in the bucket (keep the water on obviously) and hook the tubing onto the side of my tank and plug that bad boy in…. It sends the water all the way through my house into my tank and I don’t even have to do anything but watch it. Lol. I highly suggest not spending money on those water changer things…. DIY it and you’d be amazed how much money you’ll save and how much better it works. I found the idea here on RU-vid and thank God I did!

Question do you or anyone reading this know how i can use a gravel vacuum like these butttttt with a kitchen sink faucet that has a pull down sprayer? There is no parts that untwist on my faucet. I dont want to replace my expensive sink but i also want the ease of water changes/vacuuming without water splashes from 1 room to the other.. any ideas? 💡💡💡💡 💡 helllp lol

great product, but one question. i always declorinated the water before making water changes w/buckets. is it ok to go this route adding water to tank from faucet? thnx

Do you just add the water conditioner to the water when its in the tank? Will the fish be okay with this. At the moment I fill a 10 litre bucket, add the water conditioner to dechlorinate the water before it goes in the tank. Thanks.

If you have good water pressure like I have do not close the valve at the tank while filling your aquarium. The hose is weak and mine burst causing a huge mess in my kitchen.
