SETUP IMPROVEMENTS ON THE SURF - Latest Iteration Update 

I just watched the whole surf series over the past 24 hours cause I'm stuck at home and I have a 94 surf 1kz-te. This is now my fav 4wd build and this channel deserves more views! Its given me heaps of ideas/motivation for my piece of shit haha. First task, w2a wish me luck.

Go that insulation padding stuff on the back door windows and rear windows. Helps keep the car cool

I was looking into putting a second stock fuel tank on the opposite side in my ln106 dual cab, when I had that about twenty years ago, found a few pics on the net back then of some guys who’d done it, just exhaust routing was tricky. I had a water bladder bag in the rear footwell similar setup to your tank. I can’t remember what you put under the back where the spare was but I’d look into either a water tank or fuel tank there like an 80 series cruiser sub tank. I found that air tanks don’t help tyre inflation speed and not much point for air tools given how good cordless stuff is these days.

Hey, I have a surf just like this as well knz130 ssrx 3L td but I’m thinking of chopping mine into an extra cab and yes I know what your thinking what the hell just buy a Hilux well It got passed down by ol m8 and it’s very special to me not to mention the coils in the rear and COVID tax lol but I’m curious if I were to chop it would I be able to use a hilux rear wall panel and weld it on as a perfect fit or are there minor differences between the body’s because I read there Identical from the b pillar forward but I’m really struggling to find many chopped surfs so your my last resort since Iol also if it helps I can email you pics of the chopped surf that inspired me keep up the great content as well the surf really is coming along I love it

What about future rugrats? You have room in the back now for a carseat but your gf/wife might have something to say about that 😀 but if she likes going adventuring with you, the old fridge slide out would make an excellent change table with some minor mods with built-in spots for nappies, wipes etc. You never know when you might be surprised with a blessing and have to put half that back seat in again 👊👍😁😀
