Wavlink WN578R2 is a multifunctional signal amplifier, it supports router mode in addition to the basic AP and repeater modes.
Note that although both AP mode and router mode have to be wired, the wiring methods of the two are different. In AP mode, a network cable is used to connect the LAN port of the upper-level router to the LAN port of WN578R2, while the router mode is to connect the modem and WN578R2. WAN port.
In addition, we also demonstrated in the video how to reset WN578R2 to factory settings. However, under normal circumstances, we do not recommend resetting it. Unless the network encounters some problems, we can try to reset WN578R2 to see if it works to solve the problem.

I have to admit, set-up of this device was not as easy as portrayed in this video, BUT...I got an e-mail from the supplier that sells it via Amazon, detailing every step of the set-up process. Once I "got it", the set-up WAS easy and the device works like a champ. Very happy with this device. The Wi-Fi dead zone is no longer there.

It seems like a promising product, but after trying to configure it only in "AP" mode, I couldn't avoid it messing up the network since it is unavoidable to prohibit it from distributing DHCP,... I couldn't find a way to disable the DHCP server...or at least it worked as DHCP client. Will it have support for Openwrt firmware?

Video needs to give a little more info....On AP mode you showed 1 end goes into extenders port, where do I plug the other end of the cord, into my Router which is upstairs about 30ft from my room?
