Suggestively written, personal wartime memoirs by Mieczysław Pawlikowski, known to the general public for his brilliant role as Onufry Zagłoba in the film entitled Mr. Wołodyjowski, recalls the expeditions of the Polish Bomber Aviation from the British Isles to Nazi Germany, as well as the flights of drop planes over Polish territory with parachute jumpers, weapons and medicine for resistance partisans.
During this period, the author was first a bombardier in the 300 night bomber squadron, and then served in the 301 squadron, flying over the territory of Poland and France. In the book "The Halifax Seven" - Mieczysław Pawlikowski presents the history of these dramatic expeditions, the habits of Polish and English pilots, and shows the atmosphere of camaraderie, cooperation and ordinary human solidarity that helped fight and win. The book, excellently read by Henryk Machalica, gives you the opportunity to learn about the author's difficult path, the goal of which was Poland. A must-have for anyone interested in the subject of the Polish Air Force during World War II.
