Seven Mill Depot is the latest layout to be completed by the Hornby Magazine team - and the magazine's first 'O' gauge exhibition layout. It made its debut at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition in November 2019.
The depot scene is set in the late 1960s, but could easily be brought forward to more recent eras with a change of stock. All of the stock is equipped with digital sound, but most still await weathering and the addition of crews.
This running session takes the viewer through a typical collection of movements around the depot including engines coming for fuel, wagons with supplies for the yard and more. Watch it now right here on Key Model World. For more about the construction of Seven Mill Depot, read the full feature from HM152 - shop.keypublis...

excellent layout, a real inspiration to others who starting out in this gauge. Keep up the good work. Can i ask what gaugemaster controller you use for this?

It’s even more apparent in ‘O’ Gauge that there is no driver in (most of) the cabs. I think all manufacturers should put drivers in all their locos, and passengers in carriages too.

We'd need a LOT of drivers haha 😅

Jim Ross , yep, might have been better to pan out for first loco....it’s a runaway !

Fit them yourself? The price will go up if the manufacturers do it !!

Echo comments below regarding lack of a driver, but otherwise a cracking demonstration that an O gauge layout doesn’t need to be huge to get operational enjoyment out of it. Two questions: What are the layout dimensions and what is the typical length of say the Class 37 model. Ive not had any experience of O Gauge, only N, OO and my mates LGB garden layout, hence the questions. Stay safe!

Would be nice if Hornby got into the O Gauge market, There`s no O Gauge shark ballast brake van, what about an O Gauge Class 06 shunter? When I was doing OO Gauge, at the Warley show(many years ago), I mentioned this to the staff members on the stand that there was no OO Gauge ballast wagons, Dog and Cat fish etc, but the man said there would be no market for them!! Considering that they have been around since the 60`s, I thought there would be, but he wasn`t having it........Then Bachmann released them about 18 months later. Not any O Gauge Commercial vehicle`s RTR as well. How about these? Get in before the others do.

You wouldn't like the loco prices plus decoders, In excess of £3000 for 6 locos if your lucky.
