Dude..I would drop $30 a MONTH to go see Sevendust! They are the best band I've ever seen live..their energy is just unreal and they sound like the album. They are amazing. AMAZING!

record companies are the same as any other company, they just wanna make money. they dont care about the people that work for it. sevendust is fuckin amazing and they deserve more for what they do. plus there one of the most underrated bands. and theres news of a new album comin out march 4, 2008.
People forget how it works, everyone thinks it's all fun and touring for enjoyment but forget it's a business and it can get REAL complicated. Like alot of musicians say coming up, KEEP YOUR DAY JOB. Even if your talented and good it doesn't mean the marketing and exposure will come, it's a unfortunate reality to the business.

Damon Hoffman yes he was disruptive because he was battling substance abuse! But he is clean and definitely makes them better than ever! Sonny was good but he only played guitar, he didn’t sing, or write music.
Sevendust absolutely kicks ass. I have seen them live 8 times, and they never, never disappoint. They sound phenomenal live, and their stage presence is off the chain. Morgan is a savage on the drums, and he puts on a show all by himself every time he plays. I would pay, without question, $30 monthly to see Sevendust play. They are my favorite band. If you have not seen Sevendust, do yourself a favor and go!!
Go to work for free for a couple weeks and then tell me how you feel. This is their JOB. We work to make money. Their job just happens to be kicking ass on stage. Anyone who complains about bands "selling out" or chasing the money are just bitter failed musicians.
This is just SHOCKINGLY TERRIBLE how a band like this has to live by cutting corners just because the record labels got their fucking share of the green. That's so fucked up. Speaking from experience, I've seen the ugly side of the music biz. It's 90% ugly bullshit, and 10% fun. You make no money. Our first real gig in the city here in Baltimore...we each made 1 dollar, I'm not kidding...100 cent. 1 washington dollar bill...
dude all of sevendusts music is amazing sonny mayo is a better guitar player, and they dont need him to write lyrics to their songs morgan does an amazing job and lj. Clint Lowery was awesome as well, but he was being selfish so out he went.

I totally agree MechaAkuma. Despite the fact that Sevendust is incredibly talented, they had to deal with all this shit. Yet, if it's bothering them, they don't let it show. They have sold millions of records worldwide, yet the choose to stay under the radar. Sevendust 4 life :)
I love sevendust and will always love sevendust. but I like both the before and after clint lowery. i do agree tho that the music doesnt have the bad ass melodies that it used to after clint left. but its a new chapter and i still love it. i dont care.
Yeah, it's called being a musician! Why don't you try it if you think you can do any better. These guys give up so much of their time to tour and keep their fans happy. They barely get to see their families, etc. Don't bash these guys..they are some of the best guys I have ever met in that genre of music!

Hey Sevendust - I'm a new fan from just a couple years back. Now my wife is a fan from just last year. You are POWER. I guess I was confused to not see the bald guitarist running around on the last show and that was odd. He brought a lot of energy - but perhaps that was disruptive. I feel for you on the misery of the limelight. We fans get to go home to nice cozy beds and you get a tourbus bumping through the nights... Can't wait for the next show.
Sevendust will be the one of the best bands ever, forever! This just proves that just because you have a "Record Deal" that doesn't mean you are a millionaire. Sometimes the label you are with can rob you blind too. Just going to show that you should only be in the music business for the sole reason that you love to write and play music. You should want lots of money but that can't be the only reason you are in the Biz. Otherwise you'll give up too quickly.
These guys are good friends of my boss and I. I do security @ the Marquee Theatre in Tempe Arizona. He used to own Big Fish Pub and SevenDust made it big in Arizona because of that place.....
I love Clint, he's a great guitar player/writer and I'm a huge fan of Dark New Day...I'm a bigger fan of Sevendust, and I love that Alpha is heavy as hell...For a while all of their songs sounded the same, but I'm happy with Alpha
Sadly though they haven't been in Denmark for the 28 years I have lived here. I pains me. I had to go see them in Vegas a decade ago. It was fucking rockin but damn guys come to Europe!
