Fun fact about the Clap choreography. At 34:32 when Wonwoo grabs someone to clap with him, he chooses a person nearby at random every time they perform it, so no one knows when it will be their turn.

Don't Wanna Cry was their first real commercial success, and you can definitely see how their MV production quality went up massively for Clap. The Clap MV is probably my favourite MV along with Homerun. I just love how colourful and vibrant it is.

the clap choreo is one of my favourites bc it has so many cute easter eggs and facts about it !! for one, the people who centre the start of each of the choruses are the leaders (hoshi, s.coups, woozi) along with the fact that they purposefully made this choreography so that carats could join in with the clapping. not to mention it changes a lot depending on when and where they're performing. in the second chorus, wonwoo changes who he picks to clap with him, so it could be any of them and we never know who he's gonna choose .. and then in the final chorus when vernon does a move and they all follow him , he changes that move in lots of performances and they all just have to follow what he does (and he doesn't tell them what the move is gonna be, sometimes it's goofy and sometimes it's needlessly tiring and complex and the members complain - lovingly of course).. it's literally one of my favourite choreos and im glad you enjoyed it too !! ❤️

fun fact! between Don't Wanna Cry and Clap, there was actually another song called Without You as the 'bridge' of transition from those other two songs. so, Don't Wanna Cry- Without You- Clap. and the ending pose of Don't Wanna Cry's choreography is the opening pose of Without You. and the ending pose of Without You is the opening pose for Clap. maybe if you guys are curious about it, there's a special choreography video for Without You. and as always, love you guys reaction! 😊

Funny think about Clap: the intro "Baksu" is now even more related to Jooheon from Monsta X because he was a trainer in a produce 101 show and a trainee had a hard time putting emotion while singing that part so Jooheon was screaming it. His members would forever taunt him and we fans did too (i remember at the 2019 concert in Madrid 😂)

I liked don't wanna cry so much that I'm a international fan I don't know korean but i still learnt the whole song in Korean and the lyrics

"Clap" MV is one of many occasions where they play with the idea of being the "self-producing group" and that carries into how they prepared their "Clap" dance practice as well. The MV is basically making sets, filming, and editing MV's, so you can find many hints of other MV's in this one such as "Change Up", "Trauma", "Lilili Yabbay", "Pinwheel", "Mansae", and maybe more. My favorite easter egg is their impressed/surprised faces at 27:20 where you can see the set idea for "Change Up" on the bottom, and "Trauma" on top that you never see in those 2 MV's. Other MV's that have similar "self-producing"/"DIY"/"behind the scene" theme are "Thanks", "Pretty-U" (throwing a party themselves), "Boomboom" (creating an elaborate heist), filming and editing their own MV's for "Holiday" (by Wonwoo) and "Snap Shoot" (by Mingyu), "Happy Ending". Am I missing anything else, Carats?

Clap was my introduction to SVT and one of my first kpop songs in general in 2017, I remember being so shocked at how many members there were in a group and how they all had a part in the song and they all danced together so synchronized. It actually took me abt a year to really get into them and become a carat bc i was just too scared of getting someone wrong back then with so many ppl to memorize 😅

Dont Wanna Cry 2x speed is what made me into a Carat. 13 members dancing crazily, intricately in sync to a slow song, was just so mesmerizing, i just had to know who these guys are. and ever since then, im just constantly amazed with every comeback ever since. Like Seventeen is the only group i would preorder their album without hearing anything at first because theyve never miss. im till not bored somehow, after 6 years.

As someone else pointed out in another comment, the scenes in "Clap" have "easter eggs" from all of their previous videos. You just have to slow it waaaaay down to catch them all. Somewhere on YT there's an interview with Seventeen discussing all of the many "eggs" and where to find them. :)

theres two different version of clap, one where theres more lines right after the mini dance break and the og version. seventeen is so in sync that during one performance, they all moved to the choreo of the altered version but the og song played instead and they all were collectively confused and embarassed
