#SEVENTEEN #SVT #reaction SEVENTEEN Japanese songs hit different. EMOTIONAL! LOVED it as always!!! Also...DINOOOOOO FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER: / siraustin11
Can’t get enough of all this svt content!! Austin is for suree slipping into the diamond life💃🏻 I’m not usually into the sound of kpop groups’ Japanese songs but svt’s ones are amazinggg
Oh Seventeen's Japanese discography is like Soshi tier level. It's a shame that they haven't done original Japanese b-sides thou since they mostly released Japanese versions of their b-sides. Not Alone and Fallin Flower are one of the best Japanese tracks I've ever heard from a k-pop group. Especially Not Alone like I had it on repeat for a MONTH. All day. The thing with Seventeen is the hip-hop team and performance team used to mostly rap or have less lines but now all the members sing, rap, and get center line. It's great since it's proof of the members' improvement.
hey Austin, another song that cater DK's vocal power is Kidult. I hope you get to hear it. Kidult and Don't Listen in Secret are on my top list for their b sides. Looking forward to more Seventeen reactions. :)
Spot on Austin! Not Alone was released during the pandemic days. It's message goes along the lines of even if we're not together we still have each other. We're not alone
Not Alone was released April this year. I actually cried when it was released because it comforted me in so many levels with everything that's happening in the pandemic. 😭 Also, a fun fact since you asked if DK celebrated his bday on Zoom haha. Around June this year when they were promoting Ready To Love, they needed to do quarantine due to close-contact. They happened to win on a music show that week so they had a whole Zoom meeting for their encore. It's uploaded in their channel. It's really funny and cute. They also have a online dinner Zoom. 😂😂
Seventeen was big BIG when they debuted in japan, happy ending is the longest charting kpop boygroup single on Oricon, the only korean act with more than 100 weeks! ^^ it was released in 2019, so fyi ITS BEEN THERE FOR 2 YEARS. japan is seventeen's land
fun fact: vernon and dk share the same bday w/c is feb 18, however it was said that dk was a premature baby (7 mos old when he was born), not alone is released on april 18 w/c makes it dk's "possible" bday if he was not a premature baby hence him celebrating his bday on the mv.. it was a very brilliant idea lol excited with these svt reactions!! cant wait for you to get to the bside tracks
Not even a minute yet but I already want to scream seeing all of those albums you bought! My gosh Austin, you have a bunch of SVT albums now! WHOOOAAAA
YASSSS AUSTIN! We really are not surprised at your reaction. You've fallen into the diamond life hard 😂😂😂 Make room on your wall for a new poster hahaha
17:08 Jeonghan’s vocals in the chorus of Fallin Flower always give me chills. Fun fact seventeen as a group are really popular in Japan, I think they’re second only to bts and Jeonghan in particular is EXTREMELY popular.
It's pretty obvious too because in their japanese title tracks there's a lot of Jeonghan ending fairy. As a Jeonghan bias its one of the reasons Japanese releases always makes me happy.
If you want more of Vernon leaning into rock, you should watch his and Joshua's live band performance of their all English song from Attacca, 2 Minus 1!! It's got a pop punk vibe, lots of growl-y vocals from both of them, and there are in fact leather pants! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6YW7Zu9KO98.html
He did! It's in the marathon with Crush, To You and Rock With You (dance practice, 007 and live band) - Austin had _very_ good things to say about all of them, highly recommend
@@ako8357 I can’t find it anywhere so if it’s on YT, it probably got blocked where I am. No big though, I really just wanted him to see it, I don’t have to see the reaction!!
I love NOT ALONE (Hitori Janai) the most too, then HAPPY ENDING... Though I admit FALLIN FLOWER is very special in every way. Tips on their MV, they usually pick a concept based on the lyrics or the message. For HAPPY ENDING, the concept was movies. Different genres of movies, that's why there's even a 'SWAT team'. For NOT ALONE, yes, it was released when the pandemic was at its peak. The concept was being together despite distance. For FALLIN FLOWER, the message of thw song was life might be painful, very difficult. May be shortlived. But because you found each other, it's okay. It's still beautiful. For 24H, I believe the concept was 'strings of fate', an Asian folklore
Austin you make me so happyyyyyyy b-sides recom: "popular song", "kidult", "don't listen in secret", "good to me", and "247". Live performance: TMA 2020 so good
Sir Austin!!! I'm waiting for your every seventeen video, I always love your reaction!!! I'm suffering from anxiety these past few days and when they released the Ainochikara and read the lyrics I cried a lot, because seventeen's always been here and giving me the comfort and warmth I need when I am at my lowest. I just wanna share that seventeen's vocal unit "Hug" song had a huge role of saving me from giving up. Carats will support you on this journey!!!
HIIIIIIi! 🥰 Not alone was released in April 2021 so when the pandemic was still happening. And it was such a comfort song to most carats that we’re having a hard time like during the pandemic or anytime. Fallin flower, I really like the meaning of the song like trapped by the past and basically there is a person that can help you and accept you for who you are and help you fall into the right place. You are the flower and when the petals fall the flower would become a new flower or a new you/ new start. I loved all of the Japanese releases. Thank you for your reactions like always ☺️💕.
Seventeen's choreographies are part of their identity as a group, so I really recommend checking out at least a few of their dance practices (the ones named in the guide yesterday are a must). Personally I don't trust so called Carats who haven't watched the dance practices for Fallin' Flower, 24H, Getting Closer, Hit, Thanks and Crazy in Love.
one thing i really like about svt is that even tho they have very capable rappers, since they're all pretty good at singing they dont always have to force a rap verse into their songs if they feel like it'd be fine without it
21:15 I find it so funny that they decided to give Dokyeom the birthday scene, when in reality him and Vernon share the same birthday and they always celebrate it together with two cakes 😭
yay! I love having seventeen content to watch everyday, and by the way, when you start the album reactions, there is a carat lyric channel called seventeenlyrics, they also give context of some of the mora "korean" songs, looking forward to seeing your first impressions on the albuns, think you're gonna love the b-sides :)
in the not alone mv, carats have a theory regarding dk's birthday cake scene. dk's actually a premature baby (born at 7 months and was born in feb. 18) and would have been born 2 months later and surprise surprise, the release of the not alone mv was at april 18. just a funny and cute theory.
"i want vernon to have a rock solo" i mean its technically pop rock? and its technically not a solo, but he has a song with joshua and that might just be the song you wanted for him to sing lol,, its 2 minus 1! he improved so much when it comes to singing im so in awe
Actually what I really love about Seventeen in terms of their Japanese releases is that they have personal touch with it. In fact, majority of them studied/studying Japanese language to communicate and create more music for J-Carats. Jeonghan once said that he felt the urge to learn Japanese to become the Japanese representative of Seventeen since no one speak Japanese in their group. Recently, he produced JPN and KR version of "Dream", his solo song. On the side note, other members aside from the China line studied/studying Mandarin for the same reason and maybe to communicate with Jun and The8 in Chinese.
i'm a carat since 2016 yet i still don't have any single albums bought from them.. 🥲🥲 so happy that you keep falling even deeper for them, though! always looking forward to your svt content!
Woozi wrote Ainochikara after he realized that they wont be celebrating Christmas as 13 members this year because of Jun and The8 is in China right now
I think you should check out their HIT THE ROAD videos, they're thirteen 10 minute videos, one for each member. It really gives you an insight on the way they think and their outlooks on life!!! HIGHLY suggest it!!
Some recommendations: Home, Thanks, HIT, Crazy love (dance practice). Also, here are some time stamps for you to know the members better: 2:44 Jun (performance unit), 3:01 Woozi (vocal unit leader), 3:10 Wonwoo (hip hop unit), 3:28 DK (vocal), 3:48 Jeonghan (vocal), 4:07 S Coups (general leader and hip hop unit leader), 4:20 The8 (performance), 4:26 Vernon (hip hop), 5:07 Mingyu (hip hop), 5:20 Seungkwan, 5:27 Jun again, 7:05 Jeonghan again, 8:41 Joshua (vocal), 9:05 rude Mingyu, 9:32 Jun, 9:44 Wonwoo, 10:27 The 8, 10:32 Jeonghan, 10:50 Hoshi (leader performance unit), 10:57 The 8, 15:15 The 8 (again), 16:41 Joshua, 17:37 Jeonghan, 20:32 Jeonghan (again), 21:37 Joshua indeed, 23:42 Dino (but you already know that). Hope it's useful
Thank you so much for the reaction!!! An unboxing video would be fun, I'd definitely watch it! And I'm so happy that someone is sharing my undying love of Dino because he's just amazing! There isn't really an ongoing storyline for Seventeen, they do have individual ones for the music videos though... but I'm not good at analyzing either hahhaha. You said you wanted to hear Vernon's rock voice so I'm definitely recommending 2 minus 1. It's a song from their newest album and it only features the American line (meaning Joshua and Vernon)... The song is all in english and they performed it for Genius... If you type it in in youtube it'll come up and since i've seen a few reaction channels react to that video i think it's fine to react to and won't get blocked. The song really sounds like it's made for Vernon so do yourself the favor :)
Idk where to drop my thoughts but I found your video so here it goes. I cried earlier when I saw a tiktok video of svt as a phase in our lives and that thought kept running in my head as I kept shedding these tears lmao im so dramatic but I swear svt gave me the comfort in my hardest times, during lockdown I suffered a lot mentally and then a facebook notification popped out, it was my facebook profile 5 years ago and it was woozi, I had stoped watching kpop before due to studies and yet seventeen found me again, I searched on seventeen update and fell inlove with the group again then I found comfort in their songs, it was so effective that I believe I am now more stable than before, having multiple attacks a day and I tell u, I am not the only one. Most of carats was saved by svt and i am really happy to be with you in this journey of you entering the diamond life, I'm so happy our family is growing because svt have this very big heart that its overwhelming and they are just too loving to the point I think we dont deserve them, they are the type of idols who are like my brothers and besties, I dont even feel like they are far away even though they literally are. I am just so happy I got to meet them in my lowest point. You'll love them even more austine
You should definitely watch some funny videos, i recommend "The S in seventeen stands for second hand embarrassment" "The V in seventeen stands for Variety show kings" and "The T in Seventeen stands for teasing" Thanks for reacting to them! I'm glad you love them!
i have such a soft spot for their japanese releases omg.. not alone also makes me reaaally emotional, its upbeat and it has a positive message but it just makes me tear up every time ainochikara is indeed a winter song, and its so wholesome i love it so much, their VOCALS uff i loooove u going ”thats my boooo” in every song hffhsdvf also dont worry about not posting daily at some point, we would be happy with whatever haha
Seventeen's Japanese releases are sooo good to listen to. I always feel refreshed? Like, that's how I feel about these songs. But its been a hot minute since I've watched these music videos and I forgot how beautiful they were, so it was nice to watch them again with you. :) Also, funny you mentioned DK celebrating his birthday alone since he almost never celebrates his birthday by himself because he shares the same birthday as Vernon (DK is a year older though)
Let's go for the choreo reacts too. I know you don't kinda like it but trust Carats, Seventeen is different. Their choreo and synchronization is a healing. Japanese song Choreos ughh. But nuh everything is really great. P.S Not Alone is really heartwarming especially they released it for Carats during the height of the Pandemic, so you will really feel that it's so comforting. Actually every SVT song you'll love it for sure and maybe will say this is one of my fave and then get to realized you've said it to each and every song. Haha that's a Normal Carat thingy. Plus every comeback new bias, 'coz there are era dominance. Find it by yourself. I'm enjoying your daily SVT content.
I love "Not Alone" too. It makes you feel slightly overwhelmed but also like they're right there to hold your hand through it. My favorite part of the video is how all of them are physically isolated in their individual scenes but the constant use of motivated transitions connects all the different scenes to emphasize that they're _not alone_ - simple but so so powerful
Not Alone was filmed during a pandemic, this song and MV carry the message that we are not alone SVT is always with us. If you are going to do the album reaction, then on lyrics MV I recommend the channel Seventeenlyrics is the best channel when it comes to SVT songs. I also recommend you to watch the live stage for their songs because that's when they sound best Power of Love is SVT's first winter ballad
I’m loving this new journey with Austin becoming a carat rapidly 😂 it’s so nice to watch this content and see how happy you are whilst reacting to them!! ❤️
For me it's impossible to choose a Bias in Seventeen. I love each one for different reasons and I would feel terrible if I chose one over the others. And about the videos, I think they don't follow a story line, rather they want the MV to be related to the lyrics of the song. They use a lot of metaphors and interpretive dance to show emotions. That is why I feel that each video is a work of art.
Their b-sides are THE b-sides, we have a saying in the fandom that goes "any b-side of SEVENTEEN can be the title of another group", facts. I can't wait for you to do a listening party for every album
Hitorijanai was release last April 2020. The cake you saw in the video was custom made for DK. His birthday was the same as vernon 218 bros but, dk was a premature baby he was only 7 months when he was born. If he was born at exactly 9 months his bday would have been around April. #funfact Btw, welcome to the diamond life! 💙
I will never get tired of seeing seventeen on your channel. Your reacts are genuine and cute, and I end up smiling just like you. "Not Alone" was a song that was released during the pandemic, we really got to feel comfortable seeing the boys in this MV, it's worth seeing the lyrics later.
omg okay i just got back from your kai peaches reaction only to see that you've uploaded your svt jpn marathon AAAAHHHH i am so excited to watch this that i had to comment first 😆
OMG YES!!!❤️😭 I wanna see your reaction when you finally unbox the heng;garae and semicolon album or at least your thoughts about in twitter hahshahs. Anyways, thank you for showering us seventeen contents!!❤️❤️❤️
Not Alone is also my most fave svt japanese track! And yeah, it's really kinda overwhelming at the start bc they have years of content already, so it's alright to move at your own pace. :)) And also, wow you bought a LOT of albums! Excited for your album reactions soon! ♡
'Not alone' has a special place in my heart too, it's such a warm song ( 'Power of Love' now too, Seventeen comfort songs just always hit me right in the heart) 🧡 Not to mention they filmed so many different performance stages (with such beautiful sets) for it that you could check out, you would love them 🙃
I am so so happy that one of my fave reactors is both a sone and a carat. Welcome to the family! Dino and DK are both my bias but well you can never stick to one bias in this group - trust me! Since I'm a major sucker for this vocal unit, I'll suggest you Boo and DK's duet called Say Yes and the vocal unit singing Pinwheel ( its the song from that Rolling Stone video you watched previously) and Habit - both are my favorites. As for the performance unit you MUST check the China Royalty (aka JunHao or Jun and The 8) performing My I. As for the hip hop unit...Trauma is my favorite. But please take care of your precious heart before reacting to those, you might fall even harder for them and maaaaybe exo will lose some spot on your shelf lol jk. You're doing great, as always. Love from Brazil ❤️
haha I love that comment about Hoshi and Woozi, that is my first impression when I start following a group, they look similar and after I really get to know them I am thinking well how could I ever think that they looked alike
Seventeen MVs often do have some sort of "story" going on within the music video but they don't really have like a lore or an overall story that carries from one comeback to the next. Some MVs and songs are like sequels to one another, like "Fear" and their B-side "Fearless" or Scoups flying up in the car in "Left and Right" and then appearing in the crashed car in "Home;Run" but it's not like DreamCatcher where all their MVs from their first 3 years were connected to an overall story.
Literally Fallin Flower my most streamed song for 2 years in a row... like... I can't get tired of it, I love Seventeen so much and that song made me cry the first 4 times or so I listened to it. It's so emotional, it's about them being the falling flowers themselves / couple meaning too/ it was the Scoups comeback after hiatus. DKs part always feels like he's crying I'm so happy you're into seventeen 💓
OMGGGG YAAAAASSSS!!! I'm just seconds after your video but I'm commenting already but yeah, I bought albums also and sooo excited to whoever your pulls will be!!! Hope its your bias lineeee~
I love your daily seventeen reactions! I started watching going seventeen (their variety show which you should definitely check out) 2 weeks ago and now im slipping into the diamond life so its so fun to watch someone else go through the same journey!
I'm always very happy to see your new notifications of svt reactions. I'm always searching for the best time to comfortably watch it right after i get your notifications. I'm very happy to see you slipping inti the diamond life. Thanks Austin💎
omg I was just watching your svt reaction videos and saw this uploaded lolll this is gold, thank you for slipping into the diamond life and enjoy your stay hahahah
when i was a baby carat (in 2015) i used to switch hoshi, uji, and dino with each other they do kinda look similar (especially pretty u era dino and hoshi, THEY'RE LIKE TWINS!)
They really do have no bad songs, and Seventeen is just one of those groups that it’s almost impossible to choose just 1 or 2 biases, and if I’m honest with myself I have like at least 5 biases, and all of the other members wreck me constantly, lol
Aside from Seventeen, at this rate of everyday Seventeen reaction you really spoiled us Carats Sir Austin! Did I just say that I already love you Sir? Carats who read this don't forget to vote Seventeen on Mama!
Pffft imagine having money to be able to buy all the albums you want from your favs, couldn't be me 😭 Svt is one of my ult groups, but since they've been around longer I've decided to only collect what they come out with from the present on. I have Your Choice and Attacca. Same goes for all the other groups I stan. I have started to collect all of Ateez albums since they haven't been around for as long (plus they're my ULT ult group) but its still a lot of albums. Once I get a job maybe, but right now I'm a struggling, broke, full time college student. Priorities suck 😐 I also have ADHD so I know your pain 😅 Luckily for me tho, the hyperfocus part of it helps. Thats why even though I've only been a fan of Kpop since February 2021, I feel like I've been stanning for 3 years. Might also just be because I don't have a life outside of Charles Dickens and Korean boy bands. (I'm an English major btw lol)
