All was going smooth until the sencond hauling job of the day. My trailer got loaded with almost 6 tons of gravel! It's max capacity is 2.5 tons. Since it wouldnt dump that much weight I had to hand shovel the excess out. This wasn't fun, but we still got our jobs finished!

The easiest way I found in a case like that, is to open up your gate, back up real fast and slam on the brakes to get enough off to wear your dump will raise enough to dump the rest,oh and get you an battery powered leaf blower,they work great for cleaning off trailer

That’s a good idea if it works. Yes, I have one now. It’s very handy.

it worked the times I had to do it, but I’m sure it’s possible to fail at some point.lol

That loader driver at the quarry needs to be a little more considerate of your trailer. He needs to square up with trailer so he’s not dumping gravel on your fenders etc.

Super cool video! Glad your business is growing! I also work for UPS and started the local sort when I was 18. 20 years in and driving full time 🤙🏾

You are very lucky you didnt bend an axle let alone blow a tire. I started with a 14k trailer and upgraded to a 24k trailer just to be sure that I couldnt overload it and I dont do it as a business. You really need to upgrade if you want to avoid a big problem in the future.

I am sure I would have it I had taken it on the highway. This trailer will do enough to get me started. Maybe in a year or two I will be ready to upgrade. I would love to get a roll off dumpster trailer or truck.

Yeah, that loader driver is a jackass,me and him would’ve had some problems. They tried that one time with me at one at our quarry and let’s say things got really heated!🤬

I’m usually one to not get mad and make a big deal out of a mistake. It doesn’t fix what has already happened.

How often do you charge your battery?
@gaylorpropertyservice
@gaylorpropertyservice 5 месяцев назад
I usually charge after 2 or 3 days of continuous use. It will probably do 15-20 or so dumps in a charge. Less in the winter.

How much are you making per load of rock delivered?
@gaylorpropertyservice

I charge $125 for delivery fee. Actual profit depends on how much fuel and time it takes.

@@mikesnead903 Good start, that’s what you’ve gotta do. If someone is over 30 miles away I charge an extra mileage fee with a 50 mile max. Good luck with starting your business!

You gotta at least get some 12 ply tires for that trailer,…or maybe some 14s.
