With Christmas and new years behind us I’d been looking forward to getting back to normality and get out filming again. The new SVR Winter Steam Gala offered up the chance to see two sole surviving LMS moguls in steam together. S160 2253 “Omaha” was booked to work the gala but failed so was replaced by BR standard 4mt 75069. Having a last minute change of plan (due to the river Severn flooding and loco changes) I decided to do one half of the line on Saturday and the other half on the Sunday doing a total on 29 miles of walking over the two days. Finally glad to get my feet up.
