These are the best dogs I've ever seen! You should be extremely proud to have them. They are beyond fantastic at their job and look so happy the whole time!
@Mee Acownt Certain dong dreams..... You can see the boarder collie standing on the sidelines, as if to say "That aint my job, I herd the sheep and cattle, but I will watch your anticts....." Great little pack of terriors.....
And the most amazing part is that they'll be ready for round 2 by the next day. Jacks just cannot fucking get enough of absolutely destroying rats, it's like that's what they were bred to do
There is a group in New York! It's called "Ryders Alley Trencher-fed Society" or R.A.T.S. It's a group of people who mostly own terriers and dachshunds (both breeds originally meant for hunting small animals like rats and badgers). People call them and they come out at night with their dogs to see if they can catch the rats.
@@we8608 For sure. The owners appear undeterred and many of the dogs are actually service dogs and show dogs, so they probably get really good vet care.
A absolutely jolly good time, and environmentally enhancing your neighborhood! Truly a dog displaying the benefit of selective breeding, and natural ability is far more interesting than a monotonous show .Thanks, beautiful dogs!
I don't know what's more entertaining..watching your dogs go after the rats..or watching you guys trying to get out of their way. Glad you're back to ratting again. Great job !!
Some of those rats were quite big, hay bales are always a good place to find them. I used to love doing this with my dogs, these Plummer terriers are absolutely brilliant little dogs for ratting.
Rat terrier true purpose & why it was bred; for keeping barns rat free during colonial days when horses were mode of transportation. They were nicknamed “ horses best friend” & slept in the barn w/ horses.
This makes a lot of sense seems like they should let the dogs stay in there with the horses and sheep or whatever at least a couple of em. Would keep it rat free forever
@@gyongyipedersen9264 dog that race are usually Greyhounds. The BREED of dog shown here is Plummer Terrier. They can hunt rats by day, and unclog your toilet at night.........
O. M. G. SO much going on in my head right now! First, how the heck did I land here from watching ice hockey accidents??? This is frigging AWESOME! I could watch this all day long. I’m clearing my schedule for the next several days, so you’re gonna need to make LOTS more videos. lol. So many questions: 1. How much does a farmer pay for this service? 2. Do the dogs require any special training or are they natural born serial killers? 3. Do the rats cause any health issues for the livestock or are they just pests? 4. Do you worry about the dogs contracting any diseases from the rats? 5. Would the dogs eat the rats if you let them? 6. Can I follow you guys around and yell, “DIE you filthy vermin!!!” over and over while laughing maniacally just for fun? Love your show!
- How are the dogs prepared for a ratting day? - Are they fed and watered as normal in the preceding days? - Are they taken out for works at the crack of dawn to replicate the time they would start work on a farm? - And after a rating day are they washed or given any antibiotics to avoid picking up or passing on to humans things like Weil’s disease? Would be really interesting to find out a bit more about these splendid working dogs.
Nothing beats the sight of these dogs getting in a tug of war over the squeaky toy of the moment or giving one a thrashing, and best of all, it being pure instinct!
The dogs are so fast! Before my eyes can even focus on what they caught they already have it on their mouths and are shaking it to death. I guess you have to be quick or else the rat will get away.
My favorite ratting channel. Love these terriers like my own. These dogs love what they do. I love what they do. Again, thanks for sharing. From Illinois in the USA.
Omg this is the first time watching you guys those poor rats I almost felt sorry for them lol, this was absolutely Awsome i loved this and I love yiyr dogs tgey deserve a huge treat for this, now I found you I'm going to watch more,,well done guys
Such beautiful dogs, makes me miss my old girl I had years ago. Also, credit to whoever is filming. There's so much action all over the place and it was all captured without making me dizzy! If you've got problems with mice or rats, get some Jacks!
Rats are the only animal that David Attenborough admitted to not liking. The Plummers are amazingly fast and flexible; strong, with lightning reflexes. Probably the ultimate ratter!
Some terriers are only used for ratting, Plummer terriers were specifically bred to kill rats and cos of they're size probably a bit quicker than some kinds of terriers so they likely are one of the best breeds at killing rats.
Your dogs energy is amazing to watch. They are super fast and aggressive. Well done. What ever the price you charge for this work is worth it. Thanks for sharing. 👍🇺🇸
I am being enlightened now about this ! This is absolutely fascinating! How these dogs are experts and better than the idea of how us Americans us cats? Bless up , brethren!
Nothing's better than watching dogs do what they were bred to do! Good dogs! Although, it seems like the two legged ones were having just as much fun as the four legged ones!😄
Awesome.! Great work fellas and dogs. So good to see you have an answer for the rat problem there. I am in the central west area of New South Wales,Australia, and have just been through a similar infestation here, though not quite so many rats on my residence.
@@high_fructose_corn_syrup they just know how. you have to train them to "wait" stay" "drop" etc. so they learn to hunt as a partner. nice to get rid of vermin...
Once again showing why this is the most famous ratting pack on the planet, such incredible speed and efficiency they are brilliant, this has got to be the tenth time i have watched this and i see something different every time
